Called but left no message.

Debt collector

Received call several times in May. Never answered because I did not recognize the number. They never left a message. If it is a debt collector (as mentioned by Sid) then why are they calling me? I am one of the fortunate few who has no debt!

If you call it back from the phone they called you on, you can have your number removed.

There's more than a good chance that calling them back will not get you removed from their calling list, but in fact will cement the fact that your phone number is live and therefore eminently scammable.

Never call back an unknown number.

I agree. Some of these numbers you don't recognize will be a cost per call number and if you call it back, you can be charged as much as $25/minute.  It's better to use your cell phone company web site and block the number

called and left no message, twice in 7 days. I answered and it was dead air today.

Calls many times throughout the day never leave messages. Harassment. I've asked several times to be taken off calling list. They have not complied with my request.

I hurried to the phone and answered it, I am disabled so it was an effort. I think it was a computerized call because there was no sound for several seconds. I kept saying hello and then I heard office sounds in the background but still no one responded when I said Hello. Then it went dead and I was like YOU M*T(&*&*C*&RS

I *67 & called back. Got a real person Ryan, with ACS...I hungup. They called at 4p.

I called them back on 2 different occasions and got 2 different answers as to who they are. First response was "student loan program", second response was "debt consolidation". Sounds fishy.

Called yet again today at 12:24p.

If you are listed on a relatives credit check  they  will call you  trying to get in touch with them

I *67 & asked them why they keep calling me and then hangup. He acknowledged the it system may have problems and said they help people who owe $10k or more on Student Loans, Credit Cards, etc. I just hung up on him since I am on the Federal DNC list.

said they are called ACS debt consolidation and wanted to help me with student loans - i do not have any - and when I told him my only outstanding debt is my mortgage which has been obamafied he mumbled some stuff, something like I can see that you do, and hung up. He sounded slightly Asian and English was definitely not his first language. Also I think  he was cold calling with no real details about me.
