I called the number back. You get a recorded message. They do not identify themselves, they only state that they are a company calling on behalf of a publication that you received or are eligible to receive. If you don't want them calling anymore leave your name and phone number(s) that you do not want them to call.

Instead of that I just reported them to the FTC @ https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx.

Same. Caller keeps hanging up when I answer, and leaves no message. I called them back and the message states that they are offering a free publication. There is an option to leave a message to have your number removed from their database, but this remains to be seen if this is effective.

They called numerous times. Sometimes, offered free subscription of magazines and sometimes they simply hung up. I asked them to remove me from the list a couple times, they continue doing it. A pretty aggressive and annoying caller. Is there a way to deal with them?

A recording states they are a magazine subscription service and regret they phoned me in error.  They asked I leave my name and phone number so they may remove me from their call list.  I left a message asking them to refer to the National Do Not Call Registry (NDNCR) and left my mobile number to remove.  If they call again after 48hrs have passed I will file a formal complaint with the NDNCR.
