Call and hang up when answered.  Only one number away from fake "Google" affiliate scammers.

I get this same types of calls from South Carolina, Delaware, Oregon.  I have set the phone number to permanently DIVERT to voice mail. My phone doesn't ring and since they never leave one - problem solved.

This number was from a company saying they rep for another company I obtain a free subscription from.  Must be an automated number as i did not receive a message.  I called and left a v/m with name and number to have removed.  We'll see

Whoever they are, I hate them.

A lady called me again today from this number on my cell phone and when I answered she asked for some foreign lady in an IT department.  When I said there was no such person at this number, she then asked for some strange company name.  I told her she must have the wrong number and she hung up.

same as others.memorize caller id and don't answer.

My cell phone rings every morning with this number as the sender. Very annoying.

Apr 19-Another call

I received a call from this number on behalf a free publication we received or are eligible to receive. They say it is a Customer Care Center and if you want your number to be removed you must enter it and wait 24 hours.   I dont trust to put my number there, it seems like it will be a confirmation for them that indeed my number is working.

This person calls every day.  I call back and no one answers.  Recording says they are calling on behalf of a free publication I am receiving or am eligible to receive.  The recorded message says if you received in error, leave name and company name and number to be removed.  It would take a few days.  But, you can't leave message!!! Their voice mail is full.  Imagine that.  I hate them too. When I find out who they are I will make sure to warn everyone about them.  They don't leave a message but their hangups on my VM will leave a one second message which I have to spend 15 seconds to remove or the light keeps flashing and I can't see who calls me after that on my phone. They are very annoying.

Have gotten several hang-up calls from this number now.

This caller resumed calling me again a few days ago, after a long hiatus. I checked here, then ignored it until today, when they called me just about every two hours until I finally answered. An Indian with a very thick accent told me that they were "verifying mailing address for free security publication." I told them that I had no interest in receiving any publications, and he replied, "But this is free publication. You do not have to pay anything." I told him to stop calling me or I would report them, then hung up.

Call at work. Ignored.

I receive this call frequently, they hang up and when I call back their recording says that the call is in reference to a publication that I receive or am eleigble to receive.

There must be some reason they would do this.  Does anyone have an idea why?

I work at FTC, and they have been calling my desk phone asking for a specific person who no longer works here.

I informed them of as much, whom they were actually calling, and asked them to remove the number. We'll see.

In the mean time, I recommend everyone add their number to the National Do Not Call Registry, which will filter out most telemarketer calls.

They want your info to send you an IT magazine

Just about every day for the last 3 weeks, this phone number has called me. I tried to pick up the phone, but no one was on the other line. When I called back, an automated message stated that they are calling about a publication that I am receiving or that I am eligible to receive and that they want to be in compliance with all state laws. I order to get off their call list, I was to leave my name and phone number, so that they could remove within 24 business hours.
 I left my first name and phone number, but now wander what they are going to do with it.

They call daily and never leave a message.  I have not bothered to call back.

Filed a complaint with the FTC National Do Not Call Registry as my number is on that, and they the 302-394-9647 # have called daily for several days with similar experiences as prior posts.

This is a wrong number.  Probably a telemarketer of some kind.  i just don't answer the phone when it shows up as this number.
