Complete SCAM - Be Careful -
Goes on to say you owe money to the IRS and if not payed that a more serious problem will happen. They claim to be there to help you out.

Scam - Left a message that they were the IRS, call back immediately before they file suit against us.  Called number back, the person answering the phone didn't want to tell me who he was until I threatened them.  Then he claimed I reached the IRS.  Told him he was a liar, the IRS doesn't answer the phone "hello".  They answer with their name followed by their ID number.  Watch Out if you get a call from this number!

Keeps calling my 89 year old mother and telling her she owes IRS money.

Left recorded message threatening to take legal action if call not returned.  Online comments identify this as a SCAM claiming to be the IRS - an attempt to extort money claiming taxes owed.

A call ( to no particular person) telling us to call immediately to the hot line number for the irs before action is taken against us.

Received a call from this number and he did identify himself as an irs officer and even gave me a badge number. Contacted my CPA and he said to tell this guy to kiss your a**. He was eastern indian and threatened me with confiscation of property and accounts or 5 years in prison. He said theis needed to be resolved by close of business today.
