Received call 8:45 this morning, from a Dennis Gray, stated I have a issue with the US Treasury Dept. and need to call to clear it up. I hung up, but when I tried to make a call to someone else, the same mess. was repeated, again and again.

Most likely a scam, but they are persistent.

My home number received a call from this number at 9:30a.m.  I figured it had to be a scam and am glad others have made official comment on this incident.  Thanks.

I received the exact same message on my machine.  I called back and said had a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion, which is a total BS.  This seems to be a scam as I have seen other reports of this same exact scenario from same number.  Not sure what the scam is tho?  Didn't ask me for info and gave none.

Yes, same scam - "Dennis Wade" from the Treasury Dept and so on.... obviously not real.  When I asked for a badge number and supervisor he got quite upset.

Same thing here. He left a message never using my name saying it was very important that I call them to clear up a legal problem. Hi Spoke with an accent - English not his first language.   I though he said his name was Dennis Quaid, which made me laugh.

I received a phone message 20 minutes ago from a Dennis Gray at 302-416-4485.  He said I needed to respond quickly.
I did not call back and saw the other informtion that people wrote regarding this number.  It is probably a scam..

Received a call from a Dennis Gray at 302-416-4485, said that if I didn't call back there would be a warrant for my arrest.  I had to play it back three or four times just to understand what he was saying.   I am going to try to find out from the IRS how to stop these annoying phone calls.

Just posted above but found out that you can call TIGTA 1-800-366-4484 to report the scam or use their website at www.treasury.gov/tigta and you can also complain to the Federal Trade Commission at www.FTC.gov.  It is very easy to use their websites to report these calls from Dennis Gray at 302-416-4485.  They will ask a few questions and you will have to come up with a 5 digit pin number so they will know that it is you.

CRIMINAL TELESCAMMERS:  Received a call from a Dennis Gray at 302-416-4485, impersonating United States Treasury, enforcing bogus IRS scam actions, saying I have an issue with the US Treasury Dept. and need to call to clear it up. saying that if I didn't call back there would be a warrant for my arrest.  I had to play it back three or four times just to understand what he was saying-Seems like they would get someone that can speak legible English...    Says I have a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion, calling a work phone, never mentioning my name.  No mail to legal address.

I just got this same call, 12-2-2015, 12:40 p.m. * I have my fax hooked up to my land line, which also has caller I.D. i just put the fax tone on, and it doesn't allow leaving a message

Well they will tell you they are IRS and that you are in a lot of trouble and about to lose everything you own and get thrown in the slammer to boot.  However, they an make it all go away if you just wire them some money by untraceable means.  And by the way, how about using Green dot money paks, while you're at it.

On going scam, been around for a while.  Ignore and block the calls.   Originates in India and Pakistan.

They can't be stopped.  Call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.  There’s  no way to stop the calls from being initiated.

All you can do is ignore and block the calls.  There's not much anyone can do at the present time since they callers are located in India and Pakistan .  The US government at the present time can do nothing and the local governments will not shut down the illegal call centers.

Got the same call from "Dennis Quaid" (still laughing about that one) but I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know so he left a message. I know it is a scam, but I really want to call him back just to screw with him, especially since I worked for the IRS for 15 years and my wife still does work for them. My big fear though is that the phone number actually redirects to some offshore call center that will bill me back at some ungodly rate like a "976" number. For that reason, I won't call him back but I sure want to.

Same thing...caller said he was attempting to contact "you", not a name.  And it was in our best interest to cooperate.  Scam!

Same call on the answering machine from Dec 2nd.  About 10 seconds into the message it was clearly the IRS scam call, deleted it and added the number to the blacklist.
