Automated call from my credit card company to make sure my recent purchases were not due to ID theft.  Legitimate.

Unknown caller...caller i.d. said it was from "Card Services F", however caller hung up when call was answered.  If this is from a legitimate service, it is a "disservice" not to speak and identify who they are and why they are calling.

Received a call at 6 AM. The caller hang up by the time i reached the telephone and did not leave a message. I called back the number and it turned out to be the MBNA credit card company (now owned by Bank of America) looking to verify recent purchases. The call is ligitimate

This caller called me twince when i was at work. It was very annoying

Call received by recorded voice mail giving my name in regards to suspicious credit action in my account.  I hung up when they wanted ZIP code or last 4 digits of SSAN.  This was 3rd time they called according to caller ID machine

Call was legit, from my Mastercard company a former MBNA company. It was a legitimate confirmation of charges I had in fact made. Their automated system isn't the best, but once you get a real person, all was good. Because they were confirming the purchase I had made mere minutes before, I believe 100% it was a good call.
