somebody calls on a auto-dialer and asks for my wife.  when informed that she is not home they hang-up.

Same thing happened to me. Some woman called and asked for my wife. My wife wasn't home so I asked her what the nature of the call was. She refused to tell me and was quite snotty in her tone. I then asked if I could take a message and she replied that it was just a "courtesy call" and would call back some other time. This was very strange.

The biggest courtesy would be if they left me alone. You know what I mean?

I am the same person from above and this number just called here again. It is a woman asking for my wife by last name. I said she wasn't available and asked if I could take a message and she declined like she did the last time. I have no idea what this is for and it's been over six months since the last call.

The caller ID said "Russell Wonsock" and I have no idea who that is. I hope that the sock he won can be used to "put a sock in it" on this mysterious calling.

same thing here; same caller id & number, asking for wife, no message, and hung up when I asked if I could help.

Same thing just hung up when I said not available

I had the same experience and the lady hung up on me. I look forward to meeting her.
