Received phone call from this number.  A voicemail was left saying in some unAmerican voice that they were calling me regarding a legal issue and if i did not respond, they felt sorry for me and wished me luck on the issue.  I tried calling the number back and it goes directly to voicemail.  Is this a scam? I believe so.

This is the scam this person has been calling me from other numbers. Previously he was calling my home, now he is calling my job. This person got my information from the Health Net (IBM lost a hard disk drive with personal information). Every since this event I have been receiving these type of calls.

I received the same call today with the same description. they've actually called me twice. Once yesterday and once today. Whoever called had a strong accent and was really hard to understand. They told me the same thing. They said that I had a legal issues as well, and if I did not call back all they could do was which me luck. I did not call the number back - I'm trying to figure out what to do and how to report the number. Any suggestions???  I have no idea how they got my cell phone number....

I got a message too, stating he was from some Department of Investigation.  And continued to say it's a very serious issue and then the phone hung up.  I'm pretty sure this is a scam!

I have been getting this same message wishing me luck if I didn't respond to the phone message.  Mine is for some payday loan that I have never gotten.  I have never had a payday loan from anywhere so I'm not sure how they got my name and number.  They call my home and my work.  The man who calls is the same person each time but leaves a different name and number.  They (or he)  will call for a few days then stop for a few weeks then start calling me again.  I wish I could get them to stop bothering me.  I have called the police and reported them but they really can't do anything.  This is such crap and I want it to stop.  There has to be away to stop them.  this time he was Officer Thomas Smith.  Never heard of a last name of Smith with a foreign accent.

Officer Jason Black has been calling me day and night at home, work and cell, saying the same thing shown above by other people commenting.  I can't get them to stop calling me.  I believe my personal information has been compromised.  The caller has a thick accent and called me a "*[***]" when I told him to stop calling me.  I called the number and told the caller that the US got Osama and we're going after Officer Black next.  [***].

I received a call on my cell but didn't pick up.  So they called my work # and when i said that I have them on a recorded line and that I will file a lawsuit, they cursed at me and called me a bi*ch.  I can't make out what they are saying since they have a foreign accent.  Now they keep calling my work #.

This is a scam so don't give out your information.  They said that you owe on a payday loan which majority of people like myself that they have called never had a payday loan.  They get your information on websites that you go.  Be careful with payday loans on the website as well.  Some of these so called payday loans website are just scam websites.  They get your personal info and then harrass you later and try to get you to pay.  Don't go to these websites that you are not familar with for a payday loan even if you need one.

Okay Guys...I wish there was a law to stop business companies ie: credit card, furniture or loan companies giving out any of our information....This is the sign of the changing times and like it was stated to me many years ago, "soon you will only be known by your social security number, DL #, and believe it, your birthday. Now for what I see the older you are as I am (66) the more they harrass you. If you are single but have children with a decent living you are their target. If we all find a email hook-up with President Obama or his cabinet and send a sign affidavit to report the so MANY different names ie:
ROBERT, DAVID, OFFICER BLACK, OFFICER THOMAS SMITH, JAMES, MICHAEL or representing a
company name WATSON LAW FIRM or using the following phone numbers to call ALL of us from ie:
408-520-4483/206-203-7566/1-803-400-1600/303-219-9045. Write All these numbers down and if your caller ID pick them up, DON'T ANSWER, just recored and keep record of as I am doing. It's going to take us a little time but we will make it thru...BE STRONG! We ALL can do this...PEACE!

I also recieve a call from these people calling my cell and job. And my boss even told them im no longer employed there and they still call. Is there anyone we can report them to?

Man calls me from this number , when i ask who he is and why is he calling my number, he says he is from investigation department. and his name is Karne Peterson...LOL, okay, So i tell him he is calling a business line. He tells me he will call a thousand times. SO the idiot then calls me 7 times in a row...I asked him not to call me. So now if i make a threat to go beat his ass, will it be a terroristic threat at that point?? Or would i then be getting the attention from our law enforcement at this time. It appears no one on this page is getting help to stop the calls. Should we rent a bus and go to colorado where the calls are coming from and go in and start whipping ass?? Would we then get some attention from the legal and law enforcement agencies...I shouldnt have to pay to get a new number or pay extra to have a non published number....somethings wrong ....I see why people go off on stupid mutha fukers. And this guy with the foreign accent, starts cursing me out...I would beat his ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a total scam, these people have been calling me from various numbers for a few months now.  They threaten to arrest you from your employment, take your kids away, etc.  Once you call them out, they start cursing at you, I have been called a Mother F*%&ker, and all sorts of things,  unfortunately, when you call them back, many times the numbers are disconnected.  They are also known to call from Skype and 800 numbers.  Do not give them any information.

They are not really in Colorado, they are calling from another country.  That's what fraudsters do.  They have thick accents and use names like, Jim Smith.

yea i am having these idoits call me now and they are calling my work trying to get me fired i did report to police but i guess we can not do anything but maybe they will be cursed one day !!!!!! they keep giving me different names ryan and mike so american names and they are not american!!!plus they caqll like 15 times in one day is real bad!!

I reported it to the government today, seeing I get 10+ calls a day from a foreign guy with the last name "smith"..haha thats a joke huh?
I can barely understand him and he leaves threatening voicemails. I have spoken to him telling him to stop calling and he was very rude to me, but said he would stop. 10 mins later i got TWO calls from the number in 4 mins. I don't even know how these scamers got my number or information, but hopefully putting in enough complaints will stop this crap.

Go to the website:  ftc.gov  that is the federal trade commission you can report the harrassing phone calls and all the information to them,  they probably will just compile the numbers but hopefully if enough people complain something will be done.

All you can do is report them to the FCC. It sucks, and they are sooo stupid. I actually wasted my time talking to them for a little while last month, and they said things like my government had blacklisted my name and social security number, and that I would no longer have the option of hiring an attorney, and that I would rot in prison once they were done with me... I laughed at him and told him that this was America and we didn't work that way. Especially with debts that aren't real or true. I have no debt. So anyways, just report them if you can.
