Ok, I figured it out - Look on the back of any of your store credit cards. My New York & Company store credit card is by this bank..World financial bank - they might even be with Victorias Secret, Express, stores like that, that will call if you are one day late...

This is a collection agency. Anyone (including credit card banks who will eventually sell you note to a collection agency) who holds a money claim against you has a right to call you repeatedly for unlimited months to try and get you to answer. They, by law, cannot leave a message other than a number to call them back.

If you are in credit consolidation or bankruptcy, you are advised never to answer. The negotiations that are being conducted on your behalf can be thrown out once you identify yourself as the party these money grubbers are seeking to contact. They will lie and claim you and them are trying to solve the dispute and use your recorded "yes" ["my name is such and such"] to halt proceedings. Then you must go another six months before you can seek consolidation again.

The bad thing is while you are taking the three years to honor and pay off  the settlement that is reached on your behalf, they can and will continue to call you. They can't do anything other than harass you until you have met the obligation that has been negotiated at this point. After that, it is over.

The last couple of days, I've received numerous calls from 303-255-5092 on my cell. Finally answered one early this morning...a muddled automated recording that disconnects within seconds. Earlier posts trace it to World Financial Network National Bank. Makes sense to me now...they're linked to my Ann Taylor account that I opened up not too long ago. Close the account and end the calls?

It rings non stop for no reason, When I do answer no one is there or they have the wrong number.  No one here by the name they are looking for. I am on the no call list too.

Just recieved a call from these people.  I answered and a recorded british woman put me on hold.  very annoying.  I have had calls from the other two numbers as well.  They started yesterday and have called 5 times

Yes. And when you call that number back and try to get to the bottom of the possible issue at hand, they are phishing for personal information. I called my banks to clarify if these were legitimate calls from a legitimate financial organization. They report this is not the case and not to give personal information.

this is WFNNB. Workd financial bank. they are card holders for value city, victoria secret and other department stores.

Our home is listed on the government's Do Not Call list, yet we get calls from this and several other numbers for WFN National Bank and ADS EVERY SINGLE DAY, SEVERAL TIMES PER DAY at all hours... it's very annoying.

this is one of many numbers I'm receiving copious calls from.  I guess it must be World Financial Network Bank since all the other numbers I've looked up here are tied to that name.

Earlier today got a call from 614-212-7560. Didn't recognize so googled it and found your forum describingit as World Financial Bank. Then 2 hours later got a call from 303-255-5092. No ID and no message left on either call. Came back to this forum and found it's the same.

I don't answer unfamiliar numbers either for this very reason.

This number is for WFNNB and the person on the other end was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and very obviously didn't speak English very well. I had to repeat myself several times over the length of the conversation and this person kept on insisting that I make a payment now and allow them to take money from my checking account even though I said several times I didn't want this and that I had no money and was waiting on unemployment. He also said that they have made several attempts to call with no answer despite that face that I have talked to them in the past month. This is very frustrating.

THIS IS SO OBNOXIOUS! they call daily, sometimes 4 times daiy! I have no idea how to get them to stop calling, they never leave messages, and there is no one on the line when i answer.

I receive calls from the area codes of 303; 614; and 913. All are from World Financial Network in different states. They are calling my work number, my home number, and my cell phone. Sometimes I get so many calls on my home phone all the space is used up and my friends and associates say that they get a voice message that says, 'Call box full'. If I answer at home, no one is on the other end or I answer, hear a click then a dial tone. I don't know how they got my cell number. I don't have call waiting at home but do on my cell. Thank heavens I can go on the internet to see where the calls are coming from.

Caller ID says ADS then there is no one on the line.

i get that this is world financial bank.  who are they and what do they want?

I've been receiving calls from this number as well, and from a 614 area code also. But World Financial Bank is linked with Lane Bryant, Avenue, and other department store cards. I know I am delinquent on payments with LB that is probably why they are calling. So if you have a department store card this may be why they are calling.

I got this call but it was a courtesy call from my Woman Within Credit card company...They also called from the 913 and 614 area codes..just different branches.

The most help would be HOW to STOP these calls.  Has anyone had any luck?  I am current on all my bills.  No one is there when I have answered.  I've gotten calls from this and 2 other numbers.  It is getting to the point where I am changing my number...

Received call at 9am on 3-7-10. Don't answer this call! 303-255-5092 is a scam, they try to get your info, again do not answer this call! Sooner or later we will stop these scams via government regulation, the government is good for somethings.
