This number is from Disabled American Veterans in the Denver area (DAV) soliciting donations. I already blocked one number of theirs on my phone a while back, but they don't apparently care and called from this number.

Don't get me wrong, I do support Disabled Veterans, and I'll donate to a worthy Disabled Veterans oriented cause that doesn't make unsolicited calls, but I do NOT and NEVER WILL support any Charity that disregards my wishes and snakes its way around the DNC List through exemptions and loopholes, especially after blocking one of their numbers. "Do Not Call" means DO NOT CALL!

Here's a update to my earlier post: I googled the number and there was a site that had the same number on it, but it belonged to a Locksmith! The number could of been "Spoofed".

The House on Wednesday passed a bill  that bans caller ID spoofing.

Callers will be banned from transmitting misleading or inaccurate caller ID information on any voice communications services, including VoIP.

The primary effect of the bill is summarized by "It shall be unlawful for any person within the United States, in connection with any real time voice communications service, regardless of the technology or network utilized, to cause any caller ID service to transmit misleading or inaccurate caller ID information, with the intent to defraud or deceive."

It does not ban you from blocking your own information when making calls (as with *67), but you can't use technology that would display a different phone number or name on someone else's phone.

So no more prank calls - but more importantly, no more calls from criminals aiming to trick people into giving away banking information.

Disabled American Vets called my house 3x today alone!  STOP!!!  The last call just came in...it is 9:00 p.m.

The Disable American Veterans robocalls have gone nuts. There is no way to stop them.

I too have blocked other numbers that say DAV and today alone i got 4 calls from this number and 3 from 303 274-7637 also showing up as Disabled american Veterans! Try working nights and trying to sleep and the phone keeps ringing! I did answer it to politely tell who ever was on the other line to take my number off their call list and no body would say anything????
