All I know is my sweet spirited baby screamed bloody murder as soon as she heard it on the answer machine. She started screaming on ring 3 and the phone ringing doesn't scare her. She stopped after the message was done. NOT COOL! NOT COOL!!

i didn't answer, but filed a complaint with do-not-call registry. not sure if they take any action, my cell and business  phones registered do not call. but the still call me.

did not leave message but there phone number was left on my caller id and the company/telemarter was Product Dev with the number 1-303-280-8689

To the person who knows so much about Product Development Corp. What say you about the people who report being hung up when they answer your call?  On another board I saw reference to people getting noises like lions, cats and other nonsense.  Why hide behing caller ID info that isn't accurate?  You can profess your legitimacy all you like, but these tactics demonstrate that you are a SCUMMY company that harasses people. For this Verizon pays you money?  I hope they dump your [***].

I answered and because my fiancee and i both used to work in telemarketing/surveying i usually do the survey with them or at least see what they have to say.... but because of this i also know the rules and they are required to identify themselfs and the nature of the call within the first 10 seconds of the call which they did not they didnt even make a sound for the 2 minutes i stayed on the line

I have been getting a lot of calls from area codes that I do not recognize. Recently I have gotten calls from the 201 and 571 area codes. I do not know anyone that lives there. I do not answer these calls, and if it is important enough to call me long distance, then you would think it would be important enough to leave a message. They never do.
  These social parasites are infecting our society, and should be eradicated with the same enthusiasm and fervor that we have when we remove politicians that get caught in illegal activities, and corporate executives that caught removing workers pensions.

I don't want to give you my email address. A common sense would say, you should list your phone number for the appropriate department.

Hung up as soon as I said hello. I stayed on the line for about 20 more seconds -- all quiet. I called the number and got a voicemail message saying I had reached Product Development Corporation and they were doing a random survey about recently delivered telephone directories. (We did just have directories delivered.) One would think that if they wanted an answer about delivery, someone would have stayed on the line to ask!

I also am on the Do Not Call list.

Product Dev on caller ID.  I read post from company's rep below?  I did just get a phone book recently, so will disregard for now.

I, too, received a call from "Product Dev" on 9/17 at 6:38 pm.  I did not answer (thanks to Caller ID - if I don't recognize your number, I don't bother answering... especially during dinner!). I am wondering if the fax machine that called me on 9/14 at 11:29 pm (303-296-2597) is all part of the same business?

Well, DUH!!  If they are simply trying to confirm phone book deliveries, then why do the [***] hang up the instant you answer the phone..........up to 5 times a day????????????????

Rec'd a phone call from 303-280-8689. I read the notes above, about Product Development Corp. If you Google the phone number the list is almost endless about the complaints. Clearly that many different people can't all be wrong, at least about something of this sort.

If the idiots over at P.D.C. feel so above-board (no sarcasm, here of course), then why are these morons calling me at 8:26 PM, C.S.T. Moreover, if it were that important, that legitimate and that honest, why not leave a voice jail message with a name, title, call-back number, extension number, or direct us to a website.

And FOR ALL OF YOU OUT THERE, DO NOT GET DUPED INTO EMAILING THEM WITH YOUR DO-NOT-CALL NUMBER. Next thing you know, you'll be getting harassed by junk emails.

I do not, nor ever have trusted telemarketing firms. We’ve have personally experienced the inner workings of these back room, sleazy operations whose sole purpose is number of calls per hour with “hits”.

So for the purportedly knowledgeable person pontificating about his own company, PDC, WHY NOT POST YOUR COMPLETE NAME, AND PHONE NUMBER? The answer is obvious. Hit-and-run and hide in the shadows, while annoying others.

Had there been any genuine legitimacy to this detestable, despicable sleaze-ball of a person, right on up thru the owner of that slimy company, they would have provided all of the contact info such as street address, city, state, zip, phone and fax numbers, along with a listing of a few people to contact within their organization. Moreover they would also check, and get back to their voice jail messages, rather than allowing any mailbox to fill up, thereby averting any additional irate callers to log their protests.

I don’t give a hoot about what that first moron said—he’s a flat out liar. Where is his name, and phone number and extension number so the rest of us very irate people can call and give this jerk a taste of his own medicine. Clearly the individual has no stones.

The above is the address and two alternate telephone numbers for these folks. By chance, does anyone live near this place and would be willing to stop by and "talk" to our fellow citizen's about the irritation level of being hung up on...It would be nice to get a couple of the supervisors/VPs home numbers so that we can call them directly to let them know that we, in fact, received our directories...We should advise them in advance that two hang ups is a yes we got our directories while one hang up is a no.
