This is either a scammer/fraudster or a telemarketer. An authoritative voice tells me to contact Bob Johnson immediately and gives a phone number. I know of no such person and told them to stop calling me but he kept calling. Perhaps this was a robo call. This was the second such call I received with exactly the same script.

Said that their name was John Franklin and Capital Accounts and that they specialize in the collection of overdue accounts, and said to call 800-282-3214! Also said that they are calling to see if we were having any challenges delinquencies!

no response on other end.  Just a dial  up and  hang up a few seconds after I answer. 4:37 on a Sunday afternoon.. several in  other evenings the same . My line that  they called is a business line.

Called my cell phone and didn't respond when I answered. If I were king, telephone solicitors would be outlawed and the second offense would be chopping off a hand. They are the most vile vermin in our society as far as I'm concerned.

called my business number Sun. nite just before 9P.M. hung up a few seconds  after I answered .

Feb1 8:15pm NO answer ,no message

collection agency of some sort.  Robo calling.

Caller Called at 9PM. I answered no one replied and they hung up. Called back got a message saying to hold then got a recording saying this is Capital accounts and it was past business hours and to leave a message. I did I said dont call anymore. I am on Do Not Call List

I believe they are financial telemarketers, eager to sell the stocks they are pushing.

Received call from this number - asked for billing person or office manager - told him director was not in, asked if I could help, he said no, I'll call back - tried to say that we were government agency and he would need to contact Richmond, he hung up on me in middle of sentence.

I called him back TWICE to try to find out who he was and why calling and to let know we were a govt agency - hung up on me again.   Refused to give me name of supervisor or company.  Completely rude - even if we weren't govt agency - would never even consider doing business with anyone that rude.

Received a call from this number and didn't pick up.  Received a v-mail that this was capital accts., etc., etc.

Same Capital Accounts nonsense - "not available or past business hours"  I left a message threatening to call Federal Trade Commission if they persisted.

I did call the FTC...they took a report. This is out of control with these telemarketers and people threatening you for money!!!

Company named Capitol accounts. Wanted my business collection accounts but very rude and unprofessional.

Called, left no message.  I called back.  Automated machine picked up and said they were transferring my call.  Then a human picked up and asked how may I direct your call.  I said I wanted to know who it was.  He says 'capital accounts'.  I said what is that?  He said, what number did we call you at, a residential or business?  I said residential.  He said, please give me that number.  I hung up.  We don't owe anyone money so I'm not sure what this is about.

Yeah, I agree with the posts.  I got a call also from this number.  Ridiculous!!!  They need to crack down on these people.
