Recording told me to visit "verizonpromo.com" to claim a $100 prize.  Fishy fishy.

Recording told me to visit "verizonpromo.com" to claim a $100 off next bill. Went to the site and it looks 100% legit, but they ask for a billing pin . Called *611 to confirm the offer and customer service had no clue advising it can be a scam.

I didn't get the call but had a friend ask about it, it's definitely fake. You can put in any info at all and the form will accept it telling you that your application has been accepted. I filled out the form various times with different info each time, even "123" in each field, and every time it says "Congratulations! Your application was successfull." (yes, spelling error and all). It's definitely just trying to fish for login info. I've never had the official Verizon site ask for my billing PIN either, that's only for phone calls.

We received the same call on two phones yesterday from (303) 731-3432 Aurora, CO with a voice mail about www.verizonpromo.com

Verizon Customer service verified this morning that this is spam. I was told that Verizon's phone number database has been compromised and accessed and is being used to make the spam calls.

Verizon told me customer account information has not been compromised. We'll see if that remains true or not.

Received this robo-call, but did not call or go to website.  Did not feel it was legitimate, and the real Verizon website makes no mention of a "promo" $100 prize.

phishing ... they did a good job making the site look realistic, but what they want is your login info and the accounts pin number.

Also got a text message saying my account was frozen and directing me to a similar site looking for my login info.

I let Verizon know someone was fishing in their pond.

I was dumb enough to fall for it.  Logged in and it said my application was successful.  This morning my phones were deactivated and my login info had been changed.  No extra charges on my account.  Anyone know what they would do with this?

They left a partial message in my voice mail about Verizon and a $100 credit. Called back, and got a voice mail message that was breaking up like cell phone with poor coverage.

    Likely a scam.
