- Juanetta| 7 replies3037313432 just called with a pre-recorded message saying You have $100l go to www.verizon.summer.com. There is no such site. Seems fishy.
- JulieI got the same call today. Strange.
- JohnI got the same call also....I'm adding it to my block list.
- Buster| 1 replyRobo call- "you have won $100 off of your next Verizon bill. Log into your verizon account to validate your prize."
- Caller: Verizon
- Andy| 2 repliesRecording told me to visit "verizonpromo.com" to claim a $100 prize. Fishy fishy.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JoeRecording told me to visit "verizonpromo.com" to claim a $100 off next bill. Went to the site and it looks 100% legit, but they ask for a billing pin . Called *611 to confirm the offer and customer service had no clue advising it can be a scam.
- DevinI didn't get the call but had a friend ask about it, it's definitely fake. You can put in any info at all and the form will accept it telling you that your application has been accepted. I filled out the form various times with different info each time, even "123" in each field, and every time it says "Congratulations! Your application was successfull." (yes, spelling error and all). It's definitely just trying to fish for login info. I've never had the official Verizon site ask for my billing PIN either, that's only for phone calls.
- EdJust received the call about going to verizonpromo.com to receive a $100 credit on my Verizon bill.
- Verizon Spam| 2 repliesWe received the same call on two phones yesterday from (303) 731-3432 Aurora, CO with a voice mail about www.verizonpromo.com
Verizon Customer service verified this morning that this is spam. I was told that Verizon's phone number database has been compromised and accessed and is being used to make the spam calls.
Verizon told me customer account information has not been compromised. We'll see if that remains true or not.- Caller: (303) 731-3432
- Judi| 1 replyReceived this robo-call, but did not call or go to website. Did not feel it was legitimate, and the real Verizon website makes no mention of a "promo" $100 prize.
- Caller: Fake Verizon
- alan replies to Judiphishing ... they did a good job making the site look realistic, but what they want is your login info and the accounts pin number.
Also got a text message saying my account was frozen and directing me to a similar site looking for my login info.
I let Verizon know someone was fishing in their pond. - Anne ClarkYou have received a $100 credit. Just go to Verizon.com and log in to your account to claim your prize.
**My husband, who is also on the same account but with a different number, received the same call at app. the same time.- Caller: robo spam
- Call type: Prank
- alan replies to Andy| 1 replyphishing ... here is the whois info for that site. note it was only valid for one day.
