Ditto. Getting calls also from 303-951-4206, also MS Society. Way too many; they do not leave message, and if this is their idea of fund-raising, I'm never contributing again. I plan to write the MS Society and tell them so.

Well they call, then don't say a word when you answer the phone and finally take the whimp way out by just hanging up. I don't think they are related to the MS Society because I have MS.  Who ever this is sucks.  I have blocked this number from my phone.

MS Society, called back to confirm and they literally mention that they will try to call back. After trying to find a alternative method, for instance, pushing 0 to speak with an operator, I gave up. This is really poor business.

I got a few of these also - from both this # and the 1-303-951-4206 #.  When I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message, and if I did answer nobody was on the line.  When I looked up the #s and saw these posts saying it was the MS society I asked someone from our local chapter of the NMSS about it, and here's what I was told:

1)  The calls are from the NMSS' call center in Denver, which I guess is a fairly new endeavor.  The purpose is to ask you if you'd like to volunteer for something called the Helping Hands Campaign.

2)  They've been instructed not to leave messages in the event that someone else (who may or may not  know that you have MS) is listening to the message.  So they will just keep attempting to call until they speak with you.  (Except that there seems to be a timing issue, since they seem to be hanging up before you answer.)

Most important part:  To get removed from the list, call 1-800-344-4867 and ask to be removed from the Helping Hands Campaign call list.

I have been plagued with telephone calls early in the morning and late at night from 303-800-2395.  My caller ID identifies the caller as MS Society.  When I pick up the phone, no one answers.  If I don't pick up the call, my dial tone disconnects and a horrible noise continues until I hit my Off button.  I have a dog at home and I fear for her hearing when I'm not at home.  I will try the above suggestions to get off this calling list.

Follow MelV's instructions above, that 800# will get you to your local MS Society office, they seem to be aware of this situation, and my local rep said she would get with the people in Denver right away to get my parents' number removed.

It's really not the Society's fault (my mom has had MS for decades and we had been members) but whenever someone outsources to a call center, combined with HIPAA health privacy laws (which is why they can't leave a msg), means large pains in the ass. The call center is most likely on autodialing, which doesn't know who it is calling or when. Just call the 1-800-344-4867, it will connect to your local chapter, and just ask them to be taken off the Helping Hands call list.

They're good folks, just using a crappy method of communication.

After reading all the previous posts, it angers me that this problem has been going on since 2009. I have only been plagued by the calls for about six months now, but that is six months too long. Every other day, like clockwork, I get one or two calls from either this number or 303-800-2394. The caller ID shows up as MS Society. There is no message left and I refuse to pick up the phone. Very irritating, especially since it's been going on for so long. Get your act together MS Society.
