I got a call from the same number today while I was at work.  No message.  Anyone know who or what this is?

West Asset Management Comapny....Debt collector of non stuff.  Was called tonight on a bill from oct.  I agree we owe it, but the hospital never sent us a bill.  They told me the hospital was not obligated to file insurance or a bill.  How is anyone to know what they owe.

Just got a call from this number.  If this is west asset management, it is the 30th in 3 months on a bill that was paid 6 months ago by blue cross blue shielld!!!!!!   How do I get them to stop calling?

This number has shown up numerous times on my phone at work. There's never a message. Now when I see this number come up on my phone, I definitely won't answer it.

I keep getting calls from this number, but they never left a message!  If they are West Asset Management, why does the caller i.d. say Denver, CO?  I know for a fact that West Asset Mgmt. is in Michigan, because I paid off a debt that was through them several years ago via the mail, legitimately!  This call is coming from Denver, and with a prefix of 800 after the area code, it seems to me a "bogus" number.  Best thing to do is block the number!  I have a phone system from Radio Shack (landline hookup) that allows me to block up to 30 numbers, including the ones that have an unknown number and name.  All the caller hears is one ring, then a message telling them their number is blocked.  They'll quit calling after a few days, and all you'll be hearing is one ring!  If they are legit, they should have notified you by first class or certified mail.  Scammers use the phones, because using the mail would constitute mail fraud.  My advice is to just block the numbers!
