I picked up and said hello but they hung up

In a heavily accented voice, "Bobby" claimed that he was calling me from Microsoft Technical Support.

I answered. Caller claimed to be from windows tech support offering to help me with my computer problem- I never called anyone to report a problem.

I got the exact same message, I told him I was recording our conversation! I have had numerous calls from this creep in the past and once he wanted me to get into my computer and go to an area to delete files he explained were spam files - when you do, because of the hook-up, you end up sending him all the important things out of your computer! My ? is why, after a whole year, are these cretins still being allowed to operate doing this????????

because most of these scammers are on foreign soil and not even here in the US. Unless that country is co-operative with us to shut them down, they will continue to call.  It does happen, but we all have to take steps to help ourselves. Reporting the calls here:

Called at 1:54 pm. Left no message.

Sounded Asian.  He said he was from Microsoft Windows Support & everytime I sent an email, etc I was corrupting Windows.  He knew my first name.  I asked him where he was calling from & he said NY (but the phone number wasn't a NY number).  I asked him what he was selling & to take me off of his list.  He asked me if I was on the computer now & he would help me.  I said I'll talk to my tech support, stop calling me, & hung up.

Person called from the number above and threatened my mother and her dog. This has been reported to the local law enforcement. This has to be addressed and put to an end. Otherwise I think there are people that may take this into their own hands.

I just got a call from this number.  A man was on the other end claiming to be technical support for my computer.  He barely spoke English.  I mentioned I was on the do not call list and that no one was asked to call about a computer.  He said he wasn't selling anything, just trying to help.  I asked to be taken off their list and hung up.  I hope it works.  Had a similar call last week from a different number.

I got a call from a local number, no one was there.  Immediately after I hung up, I got another call from this number, saying he was from technical support.  I said I'm not falling for this sh*t, a$$ hole, and told him I was on the do not call list and to take my number off.  Then hung up.  He immediately calls me back, I do not answer, let it go to voice mail, and he leaves a voice message say that he's going to F*** me, calling me a B****, and a lot of other very vulgar threatening things.  I'm thinking a call to my local police department may be in order due to the violent nature of his message.

Just received a call from this number.  Caller sounded like a female with a very heavy accent. Said they were calling
about my "computer problems", and that someone in Texas (sounded like) had started a virus that effected Windows 8, 7, and xp.  I told here that  I believed she was running a scam and to lose my number.

Just got a call from this number 3039615402. I said hello, no one there. I say hello again, female voice says hello, am I speaking to Mrs..... Me: "Who is this" Her: I am from technical support. I am calling about your computer. Me: I don't have anything wrong with my f'n computer, take my number off your call list. Her: I need to help you with your computer or it will crash. Me: I don't need help with my computer and I hope you crash!. She immediately hung up. Looking back at caller ID, should have realized it was a scammer as it said Cell Phone CO #. Don't know anyone with a Colorado cell.

Missed a call from this number today infact! -  They left a message - of noise in background -no one talking.  I am from Colorado - so thought this was from someone calling from the Denver area for our business.   But glad I Googled the number first before calling back!

I answered and a weird sound came on so I hung up ! Only showed the number , not who it was from !!

weird that with all the computing power that is out there they have no clue how to stop this type of criminal enterprise?

Indian {red dot} said my computer was infecting the internet, Fake local number,Scam of course one computer cannot infect the internet .

Call shows as cell phone.  Guy has thick accent (Indian?) and states the computer with windows operating system is infected with virus.  Asked who he was, he said he was with Microsoft.  Told him I didn't have a windows computer and he hung up on me.  

This person who sounded Asian called and asked to speak to my husband and he knew his name. When I told him he was dead, he then asked to talk to the person who owns the computer. I told him take a hike and I was not born yesterday.
Call came from Colorado but when I called back to get a company name, the message was that the person to this number is unavailable.
So sick of these people and they should be put in jail.

Received a call today from this number.  When my husband answered it, someone asked how our computer was doing today.  My husband said great and hung up on them.
