I felt a little strange about this #. That is the reason why I reserched 1-303#. The call was on 12/7/2007 at 5:38pm.

this number called me and Im very suspicious...

Got a call from this number and when answered it there was a message to call an 800-525-8967.  It is a collection company.  The call was not for me but for my daughter.  The man I talked to on the phone asked for her, I told him it was not me that she was my daughter and then he proceeded to tell me that he was calling from a collection agency about a payment from August and also told me where this payment was supposed to made to.  Is this not against the rules?  I thought they were not supposed to leave messages like this other than to the person they are calling and even though I am the mom isn't this still against some privacy rules?

Somehow this nuber got into my checking account and is taking out money!

ASF collects money for many people. One company I know of is Golds Gym.
They are not a collection agency, they are a finance company. They will call you if you regarding anything related to your account.

yes this is a collection agency, i sent them a letter to not contact me by phone per the fair debt law. It's for Gym monthly payments. I have written to each collection agency and so far there has been 3 of them.
I have sent along a copy of a letter from my oncologist since i have been
dianosed with cancer. The owner of the gym is ignoring my condition, plus
calling my husbands phone and leaving messages for me on the past due.
and yes, i beleve this is against the law to discuss anyones account except with the person involved.  Good Luck.

This is not a debt collection agency, it is an automatic funds withdrawal service that many subscription based companies such as gyms, martial arts schools ect. use to automate payments. They are a legit business and only do their job of collecting money based on a signed contract. Most of the complaints are because either people forgot they subscribed to something or the contractor (Gold's Gym, LA Fitness) did not do their part on cancelling the contract. Not ASF fault.

I got a call yesterday from this number but I didn't get to the phone in time to answer it, but there was a message telling me to call a 800# to discuss a payment. It didn't say what type of payment or any other matter re this so-called payment. I have reviewed my bank statements and all payments that were supposed to have been made have been made, so I don't know what this is about. I am not going to return the call.

I donot  know who this is. and would like for them to stop calling me.

This company does handle the monthly dues for several "Fitness Clubs". The clubs refuse to take notice of cancellation at their business and insist that you call these people to cancel your contract. I gave both the gym and these people notice to cancel my membership and they continued to debit my account for the membership. I cancelled the card that they had on file so they now can not steal anymore money from me. I also notified "Visa, the Attorney Generals Office and the BBB of the problem. When I filed a formal complaint with the "Sheriffs Office" for telephone harassment and the Sheriffs Department contacted them they agreed to remove my phone numbers from their records and refund the money they had stolen from me.

My recommendation is to look very carefully at any contract that you sign for a "Health Club Membership". If they contract with "ASF International" to debit your account for your monthly dues......DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. These companies know the kind of people they are contracting to do their billing and their business practices!!!!

Although ASF International is NOT a collection agency, their business practices are worse than any "Collection Agency" I have ever heard of! I am not done with these people. I will do everything in my power to close this company down.

they Called me and a recorded message asked me to call them back about a payment i made. After reading some reviews some people have said that they collect on behalf of Golds Gym. I havent been a Memeber of Golds Gym in over 2 years.

I keep getting collection calls at my number looking for Trellie Bennet.  If this is you OR your daughter, why don't you deadbeats stop skipping on your debts then letting folks who don't know you take phone hits from bill collectors?  CORRECT YOUR PHONE NUMBERS!  I mean, if you don't care about others privacy then why on earth would be care about yours?
