Well, this number had called me a number of times, and each time I picked up the phone, nothing.  Finally, today, when I picked up, there was a human on the other end.  He was calling about diabetes.   I told him that I don't have diabetes, and goodbye.

Same pattern as Dec.10 'fairlyoldguy.'  But I asked him his name-Ryan. And what company he represented-American Diabetes "Assistance" which doesn't exist.  Asked him to give me a callback number -866-054-0585.-called it -no connection.

When answered they asked for a person that we have never heard of then asked if anybody in our home had "valued beauty". But when you call the number back it is computer automated and says they are telemarketers and to put your phone number in if you didn't want on their calling list.

I just called 304-250-4618 back, they asked me if I wanted to be removed form their call list to enter my 10 digit phone number, since they already had it, this was no problem.

This is a gimmick, now that I did ask them to put me on their do not call list, the calls have doubled, 6 to 8 calls a day, Don't fall for that one, I did buy a phone that blocks numbers, there is always a way to handle scams. It is sad to see the phone systems misused like this.

So-o-o-o-o-o-o ANNOYING!  What happened that allows this?  I don't want to be called!  If I need anything, then I will contact whom I wish to contact.  Let them advertise, the way a legitimate company does.  JUST BECAUSE THEY CALL ON THE TELEPHONE - - - I SAY NO!  This method should be a crime!  It's like stalking the customer until you're forced to pay attention to them.  There should be a law against this.  What happened if we all went and made official police reports?  What if these calls are for other reasons?  Reasons we should be fearing.  What happens if the call is just to make a connection and our conversations can be monitored?  Or our locations?
And no, I don't believe in aliens.

Wife received 4 or 5 calls in last week or so asking for person that has diabeties, then
today I received 2 calls, (probably 4, first one didn't get to phone in time, second one got
no answer) third one was a woman asking for me by name and inferred I had diabeties.
Told her I did not and hung up.  Got another call a little later from a guy with an accent
and said he had something that said I had diabeties.  I don't have caller ID, but did ask
him who he was with and he said American Diabeties Assistance.  Told him I didn't have
diabeties and to remove me from the call list.  Am on the do not call list already, and
if I get another one I'll try to get their number and contact the state attorney generals office
an see if he can get a little money out them.

These [***] H---s call at all hour of the day and night. Sometimes four, and five times per day. I have turned them into the FTA several times as we are no the No Call List, and have been for some time. We have asked them to stop calling, but they don't understand enough english to get it through their head.  I have called them everything but a human being, and that doesn't help either......... Don't know what the next step will be !

Somehow or other these people got my WORK phone number.  When I answer stating my company name and then my name they hang up.  It's always a direct-in dialed call with my extension.  Sometimes they'll still get thru - like just a few minutes ago - from Charlene who was very surprised to learn I do NOT have diabetes nor does anyone else in my household.  I asked her where she was located as we don't have caller ID on our phones at work, and she said (after a little hesitation) "Salt Lake City" and I asked her to verify her employer.  She said "American Diabetic Assistance".  I used our internal phone directory and discovered there is no such company in Salt Lake City.  A previous caller told me he was from Clearwater FL.  Very annoying people and I've told them over and over this is a work phone and do not call me.  UGH.

"American Diabetic Assistance" first approached me doing a "survey on diabetes"...They then call me 4 to 5 times a DAY,offering me a free glucose meter, if I just get my doctor to use their test strips, "paid by Medicare"...Half the time the calls originate from phone banks in India and the other from Salt Lake City...These cretins have NOTHING to offer that you can't get at your local pharmacy...The company, out of Florida, has other scam businesses'''They are relentless in being abnoxious, as they fail to heed my continued requests to cease phoning...They are hiding behind the false front that they are a non-profit, not subjected to the "do not call list"...The more people complain to the feds, the sooner these jerks will be put out of business...,

    MOTHER FIGGER replies to stout7735
These calls come in waves, stop for a while and come again.  Callers usually have such thick accents that you have  to ask them to repeat what they say.  Complaining to them that you are on a do not call list makes no impression.  When I remember I do what my mother devised before the days of computer generated calls.  I speak very slowly to them whenever a reply is needed but even before that I ask them to repeat what they say and I do this several times.  Then I go and ask them who they are again and where they are calling from.  I keep repeating this and act as though I can not hear them plainly or understand them. Eventually they get frustrated enough to hang up.  It probably does not stop them from calling again but the calls will cease for months until they go through their numbers again.  Just friendly make their call as frustrating to them as they do to you.  Turn the tables and get a pinch of satisfaction.

I get calls from this number at least once a week and on that day 3 to 4 times. They never give a supervisor, or a return number. They won't remove me from their contact list. They a rude and lie, so I in turn am rude and lie back to them. Would like it to stop.
