Been getting a lot of calls like this unknown number recently. Likely spam to check if the number they're calling is valid because no message is left. Don't answer if they call.

First thing they said, "We are calling about the software on your computer." I asked them to never call me again and then blocked their number from my phone.

Got a call from this number who said that my computer had been hacked and it happened several weeks ago.  we told them never to call again.

They called trying to tell me I had a problem with my computer and when they discovered I had a Mac they directed me to teamviewer.com.  At that point I told him I didn't want someone accessing my computer and that I would take care of it myself and hung up.  I then did a search and found the following:

"TeamViewer and similar services have been used to commit fraud via telephone calls. People are called, either at random or from a list, by criminals claiming to represent a computer support service which has identified the victim's computer as being infected by malware, sometimes using the name of a company such as Microsoft. They then ask the victim to give them access to their computer via a remote control service. From this point they can do anything they want. Typically they confuse the user with spurious jargon and offer to "repair" the computer and supply several years' of service for a payment; in addition to a freely offered agreed payment, this gives them the victim's payment card details. They may also infect the computer with malware, delete files, and steal files."

Received another call from this number this morning.  This time Caller ID identified the caller's name as Kenneth D. Brown.  Same story - they claimed to be calling about problems with my computer.  I informed them I had an Apple computer and if I had any problems I would call Apple.

Receiving daily calls; Caller ID shows Kenneth D Brown.  No messages left, and if I'm home, I just ignore it.

This number is calling my home and when I try to call back to tell trhem I am on the "DO NOT CALL" list, I always get a recording that says "this number has been disconnected."
Yet, they call....again and again!!!!
My husband has severe heart problems, including A-Fib (a potentially fatal condition,) and when he's in a deep sleep, their calling startles him and can easily trigger the fast heartbeat!!!
In fact, it HAS happened once and resulted in him having to go to ER!
All of my friends text, mainly for that very reason!
PLEASE STOP THE TELEMARKETING CALLS!!!!!  Thank You So Very Much.

I got the same call with first words, "We are calling about the software on your computer." The caller has a very strong Indian accent and it has very busy noice in the background. I told her that I have no computer and then call was ended :)

This person is a scammer trying to gain access to your computer using scare tactics.
He will try to direct you to a site where you can install software to allow him to gain control of your computer.
He will then steal any personal information, put malware/viruses on your computer and demand payment to remove them.
This Kenneth Brown character is a criminal and, as a criminal, will not comply with any 'Do Not Call' list.
In fact, anyone that ignores the National Do Not Call list is usually a scammer or a criminal and you should just hang up.

They called at 6 a.m.!!!

I received a call from this number moments ago, but let it go to voicemail. Started with heavy breathing into the receiver, then talking to someone in the background in a foreign language, then they hung up.

Got a call from this number,  Caller ID showed a long sequence of numbers, not the phone number.  Based on comments here I have blocked this number.

Same thing ur computer etc etc since I said I can't understand you he started yelling.. I said don't yell at me u called my house and this is a scam! He got pissed and started talking to someone in the background in his language. Don't fall for scams ur provider would let you know if there are issues. He better not call me back!!!!!!

Received two calls today from this number, @ 4:17 pm & again at 9:10 pm; (what happened to the "no solicitation calls after 9 pm?)

Anyway, of course my husband and I do not know any one by the name of "Kenneth D. Brown" from the West Virginia area, so we waited to see if they left a message. Of course not. After the second call, I searched this number and found all these comments regarding it.

Thank you all! We know now to never answer this call!

I keep getting these calls even though I tell the foreign person, " I don't have a computer, jokes on you..quit calling me!"  There should be a way to sue these people. I am keeping a log and recording  each time I get the calls. I don't understand what good is the DO NOT CALL LIST when they continue to pester people.

Do you ever get telemarketing sales calls from Actually Real and unspoofed legitimate American Businesses like Sears,  Target, your local Grocery, local fence and construction companies,  Banks soliciting your business, and other True businesses that actually have a legitimate phone # and physical address?  You Don't.  That's because these reputable businesses do honor your request by not calling.  Now,  consider if the DNC did not exist.  You'd be getting calls from those legitimate businesses in addition to the scofflaws. The reason most feel that the DNC doest work is because the don't why it was created in the first place and what its ONLY purpose is.
That purpose is to limit the number of legitimate telephone sales calls to those who have registered,  by those American businesses who also have registered with the FTC and therefore required to purchase the DNC list.
It was created for no other reason.  Go to the FTC/DNC site and read all about it.

BTW:  your caller is a criminal and comes under law enforcement.  Unfortunately he is in an uncooperative country and out of reach of the long arm of American law.

Told me I was having tech issues and wanted to access my computer remotely.  Told him I was on a Mac (actually on a PC) and he told me that he was aware of this.  He then wanted me to go to teamviewer.  I told him I did, then he told me to click something.  I then yelled "o [***] my computer is on fire, what did you do?!"
He told me he hopes that I burn in the fire.  I told him he was a piece of [***].  He hung up. Fairly fun call, but annoying because I'm on the do not call list.

They just called for the umteenth time.  I tell them to go F*** themselves or worse. Like "may your neighboring country drop a nuke on you".  I feel it is my right to to give them s*** since they won't go away.  Since they want to keep calling I keep coming up with new ways to vent on them.  Now it is a game.

I just got a call from this number.  Caller iD says Milton WV.  Told me I had won a free home security system.  Trying to confirm my address.   I realize this idiot was extremely difficult to understand but I would have sworn he just asked me How I was going to die!?
