got a call-- nobody answered

I answered the phone and the caller hung up on me.

they call and hang up.  If you call them there is a recording that the number is disconnected or no longer in service.  Does anyone know who it is?

same thing call, no one ther.  I always stay on as long as possible (until the local telco says "pleasze hang up..." hopefully it costs the caller more$$$

I called back and got a busy signal

the number they called is a business line.

they call we pickup but there is no one there. and they hang up - it is anoying because we are running a business.

This number has called a few times in the last couple of days, I answer and nobody is there then they hang up

They call everyday and never leave a message, when you call the number it gives a tone and says the # is not in service, I think that is a FAKE message, it's going into the company, they probably use that recording to stop calls from going to that #

called the number and it said it was disconnected?

We are a business. We received a call from 305-222-4444, miami Fl. No one answered. I always stay on until the robot with the sales pitch comes on but nothing. I didn't call back. I wonder if they are just verifying the phone number is active so that they can sell it to other businesses for solicitation purposes? Hmmm very odd.

I swear, if I had the person in front of me running the *&^%$ autodialer that comes from 305-222-4444, they'd need...a medic.

Idiots do not know how to adjust their machine to pick up when the callee says "hello". Pains in the neck and they're so stupid, they dont even know they're not getting their robo-message across.

call was from a recorded telemarketer for credit card machines.  #2 to be removed from the list.  When I did some one answered and asked for the owner.  I said I was and to remove me from the list and the ***!!! hung up on me.  Tried to call back and got a disconnected recording...

Finally had someone on the other end...Allstate Merchant Services in one of their many guises. However, and this is a new one, they gave us $1000 for just doing the comparison between their service and the one we have.

So, in spite of having them call 17 times in one day and call me names, etc, they have given us $1000. Not sure why they couldn't do that without the name-calling, but so be it.

Just waiting for the check now. If it's a scam and the check doesn't come, I'll report back.

Their 800# is 866-541-8472 and the fax is 866-908-8472.

We have sent faxes to them before but they say they don't get them. So I don't know how valid that fax is.

The hung up the phone when I answered. Idiots own the phone number!! Why call and hang up?

I just received a call from 305-222-4444. Caller I.D. showed "Out of Area". I asked the woman to repeat the name of the company. When she said Allstate I interupted her and said I was not interested in insurance. I love it, she corrected me by telling me they were Allstate Merchant Services. Here is their address and direct phone numbers. I just called their phone number and asked if they own the 305-222-4444 number. The woman said "no...uh....no we...uh....don't". I think I surpised her.

Just got a call from that number--I answered, they hung up.

I'm glad these web forums exist, so that we can learn about what's going on with these calls.

It really makes my blood boil that these companies think they have the right to invade our homes with these calls, interrupting our lives just so that they can collect data. Telemarketing is bad enough, robocalls and these "hang ups" are just insulting.

Call to business (area code 409), caller hangs up when call is answered.  Try calling back immediately and line is disconnected.

My small business gets calls from this number occaisionally.  I never get a response other than a hang up.
