Robo call for "earning money". I hate getting these because I am on the "do not call" register. What's the point of it?

Claimed to be from the Woodbridge, VA Direct Buy with a promotion that offered a free airline ticket anywhere in the US to include Hawaii.  I looked them up on the web and called their 800-320-4964 number and they acknowledged that it was them.  I told them I was on the do not call list and they offered to put me on theirs - I declined since I don't care about their list. If they don't honor the FTC list they are in the same class of the other cold callers/scam artist/crooks that call daily.

I don't answer calla from unknown numbers!  These people call constantly even though my number is on the DO NOT CALL list. Annoying!!!!!!

I got a call from this number, too! Needless to say, I told the guy, who had a rather strange...almost ALIEN-sounding accent, I wasn't interested in whatever they wanted to offer (namely, an "all-expenses-paid, round-trip vacation package", or something of that sort), and put my number on their Do-Not-Call list, also telling them something like, "if it sounds 'too good to be true', I WON'T believe it", before finally hanging up! Believe me, I can smell a SCAM TEN miles away, and now that I know where THESE jokers are coming from...I'm gonna BLOCK that number...and I suggest the REST of you here do the same. My old pastor back in Michigan once told me years ago, "If you don't STAND UP for SOMETHING, you're liable to FALL for ANYTHING!" So, let's STAND UP FOR OUR PRIVACY...LET'S STAND UP FOR OUR RIGHTS...IT'S NOW, OR NEVER!!! CAN I GET A WITNESS UP IN HERE?!!!

This jerk just hung up on me when I asked who he was.

This is the number that was a "supervisor" to Alison Brown who called from 877 334-2749.  Alison Brown claimed to be from Home Depot and wanted me to attend a 90 presentation in exchange for a $100 gift card and free rd trip tickets or hotel rooms.  After speaking with her- the second woman called to confirm.  Meanwhile I called Home Depot and they know nothing about this Open House!  
Someone just called again from 305 328-9098 asking for someone I have never heard of!  

You can't fall if your not standing.

Bank robbers don't stop for red lights.  Burglars don't knock before they break in.  Scammers don't consult the DNC registry before they call.  They're criminals to begin with.  Why would expect them to obey that law when they're already breaking so many others?

I was called yesterday at 9:45 PM.   when she tried to do the entire presentation---  She hung -up after I told her she was being recorded.     I have been on the DNC list forever.   Seems as though the FTC makes regulations, but does not abide by them to much.
