They call two or three times a day.  I tell them to take my name off their list.  They keep calling.

The usual credit card scammers using a new phone number and a new recording.  This time it's "Lisa" instead of "Rachel" but it's the same old scam.  I just disconnected and blacklisted their phone number because I'm sure they'll try to call again and again.  I've learned my lesson:  Do not press buttons to be taken of their list because they're already calling illegally so they don't give two shakes whether or not you want them to call them so all you're doing is encouraging them to call.  Do not press a number to speak to them, even if it is to chew them out.  Again, that actually encourages them to call.  I found that out recently when I talked to a scammer and told them I KNEW it was a scam, to stop calling.  Their response?  They then called me EVERY SINGLE WEEKDAY for over a month.  I started letting my call blocker disconnect their calls instead and they dropped to a couple of times a week.  Now they're about once a week or less.

I've made that mistake in the past.  DO NOT engage them in any way.   Do not press buttons.  Do not talk to them.  They're scam artists so they don't care that you don't want them to call.  If you engage them in any way, they will call you even more.  Immediately disconnect their calls, don't pick up on them, or get a call blocker that will disconnect them.

Just received a call from 1-305-368-7542. I asked how do I speak to to get my name removed from their calling list I was told there is a cost of $5.00. I let this idiot know it is against the law to charge when someone asks for their number to be removed he starts to threaten and lecture me. CLICK!

There might not be 'anything wrong' with our credit card accounts PRIOR to the card service scammer's calls, but for those that give these lowlifes their credit card numbers, there will be PLENTY wrong with their accounts AFTER the call!

Actually, this isn't true. If you engage them and keep them on the line as long as possible they will get more and more angry and eventually stop calling you. I know this works because I've done it. In fact, I now have an automated system that answers their calls and wastes their time with a recording that pretends to be a live person. Listening in as it slowly dawns on them what's going on is absolutely priceless.

That number has been calling for a few times. I do not answer unknown names or numbers. I assume that almost all are telemarketers or scams. Fed up to have a telephone. We live in a very ugly world.

Had to tell "Lisa with Card Services" they reached a business number/church...they say they will remove but I get a call a day and half later with the same area code, same prefix but last few digits scrambled. Again, explaining, a business number/church...no credit cards here!
