WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are   B I G   credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers. Under NO circumstances give these lowlifes your credit card number, or it will be regretted forever!

The card service scammers   WILL   "service" our credit cards,   BUT,   when they finish "servicing" them, they will have NO available credit remaining. People that are fooled into having their cards "serviced" will have a MINIMUM of $795.00 charged to them, and many times the entire amount remaining on the card. The card service scammers are a disgusting group of degenerates, who prey on the low income and the elderly, but will cheat anyone that they can.

Why are our law officials "allowing" these criminals to run free???  With the limited computer abilities I have I can trace these [***] holes! Everyone needs to call or write your local and State politicians and "force" them to take action against these thieves... and do no believe the BS that they can not locate these thieves or do not have the rexources!

Care to provide us with their location, address for service of legal documents and name of registered agent?  All that information is required to go after them either by personal lawsuit in small claims court or by the FCC/FTC.

I just got a call from 3053688368 and when i asked him to remove me from his call list, his exact words were "Oh F*&% you B!+ch"

It is still there, and working as it is supposed to do.

This post has two parts.  The =second= is for people who are interested in the realities of the Do Not Call list.  The =first= is for people who have difficulty understanding long explanations, but think the DNC list does not work.

1)
The DNC list is not a magic switch attached to your phone line, that will block calls.

The DNC list is intended to help stop calls originating from legitimate telemarketers.
* Your calls were not from legitimate telemarketers.
* Therefore, the DNC list will not stop those calls.

2)
The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate, registered telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities, and companies with preexisting business relationships, as well as debt collectors, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.  Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and scam telemarketing callers!

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

Just comes up as "Florida" on caller ID. I don't know who so I don't answer...just let it ring. If it is important...leave a message.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

They don't have to get numbers, all they do is plumb a set of numbers into dialers or computers and go for it!

thanks for the links.  I searched for "abusive telemarketers" and got FCC Consumer Complaints but I'll use yours as well.

Whenever a call comes in that we do not recognize as one of our regular contacts, we just look at the caller id and ignore.

One of the problems that allows people to get scammed by crooks is that one should remember that if you have not entered into any sweepstakes, or applied for any credit, or shopped at any store (whether online, or in person) where you applied for their card or gave your email or phone number, then you are going to be scammed, spammed, and/or conned, for maybe all of the above.

The rule of thumb is that you know whether or not you have requested contact with the number that is calling or not.  If it is not family, work, business related, emergency from your doctor or hospital, "Do not pick up" or answer.

When you answer the phone, you are confirming that your phone number is a valid number.  When you select the option in an email for them to remove your name from their list, this allows them to remove your name from one of their lists and pass you on to another of their lists or list of associates.  In other words, you are setting yourself up for indefinite contact from a multitude of partners. If ignored, eventually they will go away.  It may even take up to a year, but eventually they do go away, because your phone number of email is not a prospective investment of their time.
