Called twice today.... 11/16/07  8:30 am and 10:12 am East Coast time.
I did not pick up the phone. No message was left.

calls about every hour, no msg

From our wonderful loan servicing friends at Sallie Mae, who don't seem to think that they're bound by the FDCPA, or any state laws.

Second time they called without leaving a message.

Five calls today (so far), no messages

calls start from early morning to nights end they never talk into the phone,leaving nothing sometimes but  dial tone back, i called back and muted it and got a guy named Frank to answer and in the back ground heard about 10 other people talking about credit and credit reports they do not answer their phone with a company name

Talked to SM today, account is 17 days overdue, received 19 calls in three hours since speaking with the rudest b***h ever.

its not Sallie Mae direct, its a third party vendor attempting to collect on a debt, however the have broken all rules of ethics and privicy, there some litigation issues with this company

Called a few times this week.  About eight years ago an acquaintance put me down as a reference on a school loan.  Would have been nice if she asked but still.

With in a few years she defaulted and fled to her home town in Canada.

About three years ago I started getting mailings from SM directly.  I called them and filled in their forms.  The SM person I spoke to the second time promised no more calls.  But they continued to call and send more forms.  

Then the collectors started calling for her at my number.  One saturday AM I got maybe eight separate calls which I learned from this site were from SM's collection agency.  I spoke to a guy and told him that "Pam doesn't live here, I heard she fled to Montreal, but beyond that I don't know."  He seemed a bit confused by that but eventually hung up.  45 minutes later they called again, and asked for Pam (different caller).  I informed this dim bulb that "I just explained the matter to your call center co-worker."  The flunky sputtered in confusion and hung up.  

I thought that would be the end of it. Silly me.  Glad they don't have MY SSN.

call cellphone atleast twice a day.  Yesterday called at 8:34 PM!  Called them from my cell from blocked number.  A lady said hello but did not identify herself.  When I hung up they called right back.  Never leave messages.

I received one phone call asking for someone I do not know and one hang up.  When I checked the caller ID, I googled the number and found this site.  Thank you for starting this thread.  So I just called the number and they said it was Sallie Mae.  I told them to delete my number from the call list.  Let's see if this happens.  If they start calling more often, I'm going to blow a whistle in their ear the moment I pick up the phone!

Yet another number added to the block list.  

The Child Molestors at Sallie, regarding a loan I'm about to default on.  Added it to the block list on my phone, and I'll never get a call from this number again (=

If you're in debt, get a Windows-based smartphone, like a Motorola Q or a BlackJack.  Buy a $9 software from Efficasoft called SmartBlock.  You can put your creditors & unwanted callers on SmartBlock's "Black List", and poof - you'll never get a call again from them.  You might get a v-Mail, but it's better to delete a v-Mail than talk to a creditor.  In 7-10 years, your debt will be wiped clean off your credit report.  I'm already 4 years along, and creditors rarely ever leave v-Mails - Well, Sallie Mae does!

They called me 12 times yesterday and never left a message. I've talked to Sallie Mae and have reported to them about this 3rd party company. So who knows what's really going to happen. When I called the number back to clarify what's going on, I was put on hold and they never came back. After 15 minutes, I hung up.

call around 8-9am every day, then all throughout the day.  never leave message and noone will talk.

I get calls from this number all day, everyday. I just got this phone (pre-paid) and they waste all my minutes. I have talked to a few of the reps and ask them to remove me, but they keep calling. I traced the number, its carried by cingular, in florida. corner of west jackson and keys ct is all I could muster.

Thanks guys, at first, did not know who it was.  Since it is Sallie Mae, haha, they have been used different numbers to call me.  I should change my number now.

I don't know how they get my number, but i get calls from this number all day and i explain to one of the reps that the person that they are looking for is my husband friens and I don't even know him and I ask them to erase my # from their list but she told me that if they don't give 'em another # to reach my husband friend they gonna keep calling to my phone...
