Nancy Alvarez stole $1545.00 from our family for a Disney trip that was planned for June 10-16, 2008. We found her on Craig's List. I trusted her since all together she and I talked probably 3-4 hours total from 4/26/08 - 5/21/08. She will pressure you that you must get the travel package immediately to get the deal...yet it is the same deal she is still running on Craig's List in our area today. She told me to use a credit card convenience check since it would be covered in case of fraudulent activity. Ends up they don't cover convenience checks. After we express mailed the payment, I found out that travel agents in Florida are required to be registered/bonded. When I e-mailed her for her registration number, she called me and talked for about 45 min explaining that no one had ever asked for that (she sounded very insulted)...and then explained to me how she can sell these trips so cheap. Don't let the fact that she will talk to you change a thing. She is a theft and is probably working with someone. Beware! Someone in authority must stop her and get our money back!!!! I have talked to and filed complaints with the Division of Consumer Services and the FBI Internet Dept. I found out about 800notes.com today when talking to the Attorney General's office in my state. We have got to stop her. (Our 14 year old daughter keeps reminding me that even when we set this up with Nancy, that she thought it was a scam. We should have listened to our daughter. It was a risk we took, but we did check her out on the scammer websites at that time...and there was nothing on her. Combine that with our trying to save money and her willingness to talk and you have a perfect set-up to be scammed! So sad.)
