Yes--it is a scam.  A young woman calling herself Nancy Alvarez ripped off me and my family on a bogus Disney vacation package.  Her actual name Is Nancy Victoria Perdigon, she is 20 years old, and is already a hardened criminal.  She resides in Miami Florida, probably with her parents, Orestes and Elvira Perdigon.  She is known to the Miami Dade police department.  Feel free to contact me at skypilotace3@icqmail.com for any further details.

Yes, we have had the same experience. She got to us for $1200 and ruined our 25th anniversary along with breaking the heart of me 13 year old who has never been to Disney.
Help us nail her hide to the wall !!!

First and foremost, file a complaint with your local police department.  Next, alert the FBI with the details of this scam at https://tips.fbi.gov  Then file a complaint with your state's attorney general, the contact information for whom is at www.naag.com

Finally, since this crook may be based in Florida and the scam centered around Disney World in Florida, file a complaint with the Florida Attorney General at http://myfloridalegal.com/contact.nsf/contact?Open&Section=Attorney_General

Nancy Alvarez stole $1545.00 from our family for a Disney trip that was planned for June 10-16, 2008.  We found her on Craig's List.  I trusted her since all together she and I talked probably 3-4 hours total from 4/26/08 - 5/21/08.  She will pressure you that you must get the travel package immediately to get the deal...yet it is the same deal she is still running on Craig's List in our area today.  She told me to use a credit card convenience check since it would be covered in case of fraudulent activity.  Ends up they don't cover convenience checks.   After we express mailed the payment, I found out that travel agents in Florida are required to be registered/bonded.  When I e-mailed her for her registration number, she called me and talked for about 45 min explaining that no one had ever asked for that (she sounded very insulted)...and then explained to me how she can sell these trips so cheap.  Don't let the fact that she will talk to you change a thing.  She is a theft and is probably working with someone.  Beware!  Someone in authority must stop her and get our money back!!!!  I have talked to and filed complaints with the Division of Consumer Services and the FBI Internet Dept.  I found out about 800notes.com today when talking to the Attorney General's office in my state.  We have got to stop her.  (Our 14 year old daughter keeps reminding me that even when we set this up with Nancy, that she thought it was a scam.  We should have listened to our daughter.  It was a risk we took, but we did check her out on the scammer websites at that time...and there was nothing on her.  Combine that with our trying to save money and her willingness to talk and you have a perfect set-up to be scammed!  So sad.)

She scammed me in July 2007.  I filed a police report in my jurisdiction as well as calling Miami Dade police and google. I also contacted the bbb and attorney general about the fake company that sold me the tickets...National Tutoring Service. At the time, I did business with her through google checkout.  I was immediately reimbursed as I knew I would be by google but still Nancy rolled on.  I am glad to know the net around her is tightening. :-)  Good luck to everyone.

Hi,
So sorry to hear of your loss. We have not heard whether she will have to make restitution or serve time, or both. Her bail hearing was today. Still don't know if she got out on bail. We're waiting to hear from the detective.
I was contacted by a repoter with the Miami Herald today. He wants our story.
If you haven't filed charges against her now would be a great time to do so!
Feel free to e-mail me at imdnurse@bellsouth.net for info on how to file.
