- Ann Noid| 3 repliesThis number 305-602-0733 for Dept collection has got to be related to 800-360-4319.
And this is why I think it is: 800-360-4319 calls first. I listen to a recording asking for the person who they have a dept issue with. I press 3 basically saying I don't know who they want and hang up. And just moments after 305-602-0733 calls with an ID of Customer Care. Really how dumb do you think I am. They don't leave a message on my answering machine and I come here to find that they too are some debt 'relief' collection agency. All they want is a way to get to the person who owes money on the dept they bought from some other company who didn't have the time or energy to settle equitably with the person who actually owes/owed them money. I have no sympathy for them at all - the company who sold the dept or the one who bought it.
Probably the same company trying a different route. Dept collectors are not banned from the DNC lists. As well as Charity, survey, and politics - the four things you really don't want calls from.- Caller: customer care

- Smarty Pants replies to The-NineThat's debt relief, buddy. As in relief for people with a crap load of credit card debt.
- Irritable Ingrid replies to Ann NoidYou mean DEBT collectors?
- The-Nine replies to Ann Noid| 1 replyThis whole industry needs an overhaul and since it reaches out to so many people in so many places, it really should be handled internationally. Like requiring debt collectors to have a license. So when they call a consumer they are required to demonstrate their legitimacy by showing them their card which the consumer can then verify oline.
- Miffedjust got another call from this #. No message. It's time to stop this crap. If I could, I'd hunt you down.
- Richie replies to The-NineHow are they going to "show" you anything over the phone? And since these are scammers, how would such a requirement stop them?
- AnnieJust got a call from this place...whoever they are. Did not leave a message. If this is a company that has "purchased" old debt, as some person previously mentioned they are pretty much out of luck Each state has a statute of limitations that does not allow a company to pursue a debt. In my state it is 3 yrs. I have no idea why they call, except to take advantage of the stupids. If they are legitimate, they would leave a message. They buy the debt for pennies on the $. I have a friend that works for the state agency that gets the complaints on these bottom feeders. earlier in the day, a call that said they could reduce the interest as a result of the "stimulus package". Wasn't that a few years back.? Gees, thank goodness for Caller ID and answering machines.
