I got a text from this random email address with this phone number. In the text is said, "enjoy your two free tickets for a cruise" I called it and it sounded like some hackers trying to get free money.

I got a text saying 'youve earned a complimentary trip to the bahamas! call 3056153925"

I got the same text, definitely a scam

Also got a text from an email saying "You have won a trip to the Bahamas! Call …" and that number.

Glad I found this page. Didn't want to call before looking into it. Seemed sketchy :P Bummer, right? ;)

I called the number....IT IS  A SCAM !!

Those fooled by the "free cruise" scammers will be left waiting at the dock, for a ship that never comes, while the scammers sail away with their credit card information!

I called this number and guy named Peter wanted to hook me up with a cruise. When I told him that they were violating FCC policy by testing to my unlisted number he challenged me that my number is not in the do not call list. What a BS? He kept arguing with me. What an A*hole?

I received a text from this number today, stating I had won free tickets to the Bahamas. I'm glad I did the research and found these posts. Thanks for the help!

They sent me a text for a "free cruise to the Bahamas". Its a scam do not give them any information!

My text says "You have yet to claim your Bahamas tickets.  Call 305-615-3952."  Glad I looked this up.  I didn't call.

MSG reads: You have one a Cruise to the Bahamas! call 305 615 3952

I have not entered any drawings and I do not give out my cell phone number, my email information, or my text information. Because, I believe most of these places are scams. And to the fact that they contacted me is further proof that that is exactly what they are scammers!

Got the same text message just now that I won a free trip to the Bahamas. What a load crap! Thanks for posting all the comments. This saved me yet from a second scam in the last 3 months.

Scum outfit. Sends text from email domain @mytextalerts.com to call them so they can swindle your money and lie about a cruise you won.

when you win a contest, you are informed IMMEDIATELY who is the sponsor!!! Trust me, I am a sweepstaker, this is a scam.  I thought at first it was the $3000 a minute St.Thomas  phone scam. found this site to confirm, thanks guys!!!

Looks like they have been having a lot of fun today.  Every minute there is another post.  I got the same email.  I love the fact that we can put in a phone number in google and get information about a possible scam.  So glad I didn't call.  I was tempted to call.  In the future, I will do exactly this again, check out the number and pretty much know that it is a scam.  Pass this information along to your friends, not to respond to any text messages.  This can be a tough thing to get out of.  Once someone has your information, they can get a mortgage.  It happened to my sister's friend, someone got their financial information, bought a house and lived in it for years.  Then when the couple needed a new car because their car broke down, they couldn't get a loan.  We need to be super careful!!!

I got the same message twice from two separate addresses.  The first from aalghp@mytextalerts.net and again from kyeceudoonkdv@mytxtalerts.net. I knew it was a scam off the bat but googled the number anyway to see how many other people were getting these.  Clearly I'm not alone. Both messages say: "Congratulations on winning tickets to the Bahamas! Call to claim at 305 615 3952". Yeah, no.

I called and asked them what the specific name of the company was...she studdered- then I ask the address of her home office, but she was cluless..

Has anyone found a way to opt out yet? Can anything be done?
