Automated message from "Heather" at credit services.  Pressed 1 to talk to rep.  It was a man that would not give any identifying information about himself or the company.  Call was cut off after some questioning on my part.  This is the second call like this I have received in the last week.

I filed a complaint with DoNotCall registry- I don't know what else to really do.

They hung up

When I picked up, an automated voice told me time was running out to secure a lower interest rate on my credit card. I considered waiting for the live person to come on so I could tell them I intended to press charges since I have registered my cell # with the National No Call database.

File a complaint with the FCC http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html if you already have regested with the Do Not Call list. They will investigate and pursue! I have done this before and the FCC keeps you posted. Please do this to get this people to stop!!!!

I do not anwser unknown numbers, but have been getting alot of these type calls and numbers lately!  Very annoying, I wish someone could do something about this.  As far as I am concerned, it's harrassment!

second call from this number didn't answer first time but did the second time after i said hello a recording came on saying hello this is heather i hung up read on here where this is a scam

Call came in, but I didn't answer. They did not leave a message. Thank goodness for google & this site. I am warning my all my friends as well.

called offering to lower my interest rates on my credit cards then when I spoke to live operator and asked how they got my phone # since it was on the do not call list.  She told me the do not call list does not exist and if it did she would not have gotten my phone #.  Then when I asked where she was calling from she hung up.

My mother received a call from this woman from phone number 13056541842. She was totally rude and told my mom that she was in jeopardy of losing her car. She screamed into the telephone really frightening my mother. Now that I know this is a bogus number....I will not answer the phone when I see the number.

I've had it with these scammers.  I'm already on the do no call registry, but these jerks still call.  If you press "1" and get a person, they are always rude and hang up on you when you try to get information.  They need to be stopped.  Call the FCC!  Call the attorney general for your state.  Call whomever it is necessary to call to end this.

Just got the call as well.  I didn't answer, googled the number first (didn't recognize so always check) and found others got the call too.  All they end up doing is using my cell mins for crap

Have been getting these calls for months now. Either from this number or another number in Florida. Asking to be removed from the list only increases the number of calls you get. We have an unlisted number as well as are registered with the Do Not Call List so we are probably just unlucky victims of autodialing.  Am actually considering changing my phone number since I am tired of always having to screen these annoying calls. Either that or next time they call, I will use a very loud whistle I have and blast their eardrums. Have reported them to DNC.gov but doubt there is anything they can do.  This is clearly harassment because they are not fooling any of us into giving up information but continue to call back. It seems their time should be better spent moving on to new phone numbers where maybe somebody will naively give up their info. May they ALL rot in Hell!

I live in Ohio and I was contacted by this "scam"  They were going to lower my credit card APR to 6.9...They hung up on me because I was asking too many questions(What is the name of your company, is this in reference to a credit card I have or are you consolidating my cards onto one of yours, etc)I called the number back and I received a message stating the number has been disconnected.

These guys, whether posing as credit card or warrantee extenders are just scam artists trying to get your personal information (like credit card number, mother's maiden name etc.) [as a side note, as the economy gets worse, the amount of scams increase].  The caller ID number they are using is a fake as they are using caller ID spoofing.  This can be done by using a company called Spoofcard.com or use an Internet phone and inputting any phone number you want to show up on your caller ID.  If they use Spoofcard.com, then your DA's office (if they want to take the case) can find them and prosecute, but it is much more difficult to track an Internet phone.  A Bill is circulating in the US Senate which will make Caller ID spoofing illegal.  Here's what you do.... do not give the caller any info about you, but attempt to get info from them about who they are and where they are.  Next contact your Senators and ask that they support the Bill.  Lastly, file a Complaint with your local DA's Office.

I didn't answer but it left a recorded message that sounded like others have reported here. To get a low credit card rate press 1 to talk to someone or 2 to be removed...

Call from this number @ 1:43 PM MST on 3/20/08.  This was an "Automated" call and no person on the other side telling me abou my "extended auto insurance" was about to expire.

WHY are we on a DO NOT CALL LIST and still get this crap?  WHY aren't these jerks fined the $10K????  WHY are they able to call US from a "Non-working" number that we cannot call THEM back to aggravate the living stuff out of THEM!!!???  FTC WAKE  UP!!!

Total scam trying to get personal info. I finally push the number to speak with someone and played along just to get company name: "Financial Services" I was told. I filed with the Better Business Bureau in hopes they can help. I've been getting calls for about 6 months, you think they would know they aren't getting any info from me! Very stupid people.

Got a call from this number and they just hung up??  I think it's definately a scam!!!
