Received call 3/20/2008 at about 6:30. Didn't answer...left no message.

The call I got was from Lawrence, Sandri telling me about my credit cards.  When I pressed 1 to talk to the operator and to get my name off of their calling list, the person at the other end told me how stupid I and my entire family was.  I just hung up. I tried calling the number back but it had been disconnected.  These folks must really be desperate- I hope NO ONE gives them any information!

I've had numerous calls from this company even though I've told them repeatedly to take me off their calling list. My number is also on the do not call registry. Their number never shows up on my caller ID --- except this time. The woman I spoke with said she was from "The Finance Services" --- talk about a generic name -- and they are from Atlanta, GA. When I asked for an address, she refused to give it to me. I also asked to speak with her supervisor, at which point I was disconnected. Their number was out of service when I called back.

I am reporting them to the Attorney General's office.

Has called my cell phone twice once on 3/18 and again 3/20.  Did not answer and they did not leave a message.  Did not show a name up on the caller ID on my phone either.  Glad I did not answer.

Same deal.  Just ignore these jerks.

I never picked up the phone as I didn't recognize the number nor Lawrence Sandri.

Received a call from this number at 11:48AM, no msg left.

I have received that call at 9:10am.  They told me that my warranty on my car is about to expire.

Got a call from the same number today.  I was not home and they did not leave a message.  When I tried calling it from my cell phone it said that the number had been disconnected.  Who do we report this to?

The National Do Not Call Registry is totally ineffective for this type of fraudulent bahavior. We would all like to see scam artists put in jail, but thats hard to do when you can't find out who they are.

Here's a suggestion; all the local phone companies need to take responsibility for their service - they have a duty to provide safe services to our home phones and cellphones. Having to have call tracing and local PD reports is way too much hard work. One thing they can all do is read bulletins like this board and just block a long list of numbers for a start. Next, it should be easy for a consumer to get a telco to block numbers not by selective call blocking but at the telephone switch. Maybe it takes a judge to issue a court order to make this happen, but our lives are being invaded by scumbag crook callers like this and a responsible (and good PR) thing for a telco to do is protect its subscribers.

Maybe some of the a**holes who make these calls will be themselves a victim - poetic justice!

I received the same call on my cell.  Although no mesage was left the number read as follows: +3056541842. Weird.

Answered the phone and no one was there.  I am on the do not call list.  I have been getting several of these calls a week.  I also have a button on my phone that I push with a message for the caller to remove my number from their list.

BEWARE!  BE VERY WARY:  DON'T GIVE ANY INFORMATION OUT.  
I too got a recorded call from Lawrence Sandri. Since I would want to extend my vehicle warranty I pressed 1.  When I asked the live attendant  if this is the exact same company my policy is with now - she rambled on about hte products they offer.  I interrupted her to ask my question again and told her I wanted this answer and nothing else.  She hung up on me.  I redialed the incoming # - it is 'disconnected' - right.

I just blew a whistle into the phone when they called.  Hope they can't hear anymore!  I'll do it again...every time!

Caller ID info is faked.  This is about the 4th name I've seen on the number. Caller is a 'Credit Card Refinancer' called Credit Services.  Option 1 will give you an operator on a strict script.  If you deviate from the script responses to ask for info or demand to be put onto a do-not-call list, or comment that you are ON the gov DNC List, you will be hung up on.  If you choose option 2, you will be told that your number has been removed from the list.  It will not be.  I have gotten 6+ calls from them.  File a complaint at donotcall.gov and at ftc.gov to give them trouble.
