This appears to be a scam related to vehicle warranties now. Don't even answer it.

just received the call from that number too 3/21/08 305-654-1842 and tried to call it back and the number was disconnected. weeeeeirddd.

-Called at 8:37PM Central on a personal cell with a DO NOT CALL listed phone number.

Called MY CELL PHONE around 9 PM CST and it was a recording warning me that my vehicle extended warranty was about to expire; "press 1 to speak to an agent, press 2 to be removed off of the list" is the message. I had to press 1 to speak to an agent, just to see what company was spamming my cell phone. As soon as someone answered they asked for my year make and model of my car. I asked then what company this was, and before the "was" part of it got out of my mouth, they hung up.

Now when I try to call back I get one of two messages that it is either disconnected, or it is a working number and is having difficulty at the moment.

Just got the call on my cell.  3/21/08 8:30 PM Eastern.  Didn't answer, called back and couldn't connect.  305 is a area code for Miami area isn't it??

Called me at 8:43pm CST automated voice informed me my auto warranty was about to expire.  I hung up.  Just so everyone is aware, when something like this happen, make sure to keep a close eye on all your credit cards, etc.

I get a call a week or so from "Account Services". It's an automated message and I figure that this is their way to circumvent the law by not leaving a phone number. They say to "press 1 to speak to a representative" or "press 2 to be removed from our call list". I've tried pressing 2 before when I've actually been there to answer it but it either A) doesn't do a damn thing or B) I suspect it just confirms to them that they have a real live phone number. Pisses me off royal! I did submit their number to the national do not call complaint web site, but I suspect that they are already outside the law and that this will not stop them.

how to block this???

This call was for my expired auto warranty...though I have received a lot of messages regarding the "credit card" ... so this must be a number for a call center of some sort.  It is IMPOSSIBLE to get off their calling list!!! They used to call my home number up to 3 times a week...now they are calling my cell #.  If you press 1 to talk to a person and ask who they are, they hung up.  Does anyone know how to stop this harrassment?  BTW - I sold the car they are trying to sell me a warranty for 2 years ago!

no message caller Id Sandri Lawrence, Family name so I called back the number has now been disconnected.  Thanks to all for who turned them in or caught on.  Hope we can also shut them down next time!

Calls me in S. Ariz. daily.  Sometimes before 7 am and sometimes after 9 pm.  Recorded female voice offering extended warranty on my vehicle if i answer. If I don't answer, there is no message left on my machine. If I call the number back, it's  either disconnected or "a working number that is presently experiencing difficulties." How very convenient.  I'm on the National Do Not Call Registry, but that appears to do no good.  This is harassment and it needs to stop.

Let shut this one down  and report it you attorney genaralin you respected states and Go AFTER THESE CLOWNS!

3/21/08 - 7:30 p.m. I recieved a call exactly like everyone else. After the pre-recorded message a gentleman came on and asked if I had any balances over $300.00.  I stupidly replied yes. Then asked what card he was talking about.  I heard some equipment noises then he hung up. I'm hoping he didn't record my yes - inorder to make a large purchase.  I also am on the do not call list.

After reading MANY replys about this number, I find it interesting that someone, something, Gov't or private can't put them out of business.
I find this intrusion into my life most annoying. I get these calls two or three times a day / evening also.
Would picking up the phone and hanging up help stop it?
Or is it automated ?
What can be done to stop these calls?

i got this call too.  I have been getting bombarded by pre-recorded calls.  Please post any information you can find about the company

claimed to be from my credit card company.  Shouldn't that be the name that shows up on caller id????
