Got a call today with ID "PA". No person on other end. Suspect scammer so it's now blocked.

got a call from this number, name said Michael F. Guilfe

received two calls in one day from the bottom feeder, Portfolio Recovery. naturally, did not answer. also received two calls from this number and caller id said "PA." suspect it is one of portfolio's other junior scammers trying to elicit money  - do not owe anyone so they are wasting their time. they NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE, SO HOW IMPORTANT CAN CALL BE???? JUST DO NOT ANSWER.

This is the second call in just a few days from this number.  I did not answer either.  Both had caller IDs saying "Michael F. Guilf."  There seems to be a Michael F. Guilford in Miami, FL, a lawyer practicing maritime law.  But his (listed) phone number is 305-539-1999.

Perhaps this is some scammer masquerading as Michael F. Guilford in Miami; perhaps it is Michael F. Guilford himself, or someone in his office, trying to peddle something; or maybe it is Michael F. Guilford with the happy news that some sunken ship has been discovered and that you are the beneficiary of a long-lost treasure chest full of gold doubloons.  Please just send him $____ to cover transportation fees to send it to you.

I received a call from "Michael F Guilf", apparently using the name Michael F. Guilford, Miami cell #305-778-0987 on 9/23.  He asked for my mother because he wanted to know how she was doing.  She passed away last year, which I told him.  He said he was sorry she wasn't doing well (??!!) and we hung up.  I received a second call today, 9/24; he addressed me by my first name and said he was just calling to see how I was doing.  I asked him why he was so interested in my household's wellbeing as I do not know him.  He said, "Don't you remember, we met on the beach?" I told him that I had not met him on a beach or anywhere else, and that whatever he was selling I didn't want and to not call again.  Both of my phones are on the DNC list.  Fat lot of good that's doing.  I've gotten a series of weird, creepy calls lately.
