Called three times in a row and I didn't pick up.

We receive these phone calls three or four times a week.  The caller ID always just says Florida.  They usually hang up about halfway through my greeting (this is a business line).  I was able to obtain the actual phone number because I had the line forwarded to my cell phone last week.  They hung up that time as well.  Today though, they actually asked for a former employee of ours.  When I said he no longer worked here, and could I help them with something, they sat there silently for a few seconds as I repeatedly said hello, then hung up.  What the heck is it?  

Has anyone ever called the number back?  I'm so curious ...

I've had two of these in two days; the first one I ignored and let it go to voicemail (muffled background conversations only) and today I answered it; as soon as I gave a standard business greeting the caller disconnected.

I've received calls from this number several days, they have never left messages.

get them to stop calling my business phone!

CALLED SEVERAL TIMES, DID NOT ANSWER

I was already engaged in a conversation when a call from 305-800-1000 came thru.  I did not answer it.  they did not leave a message.  I tried calling it back, because when it came thru I did not know who it was, but it could have been a business related call.  There was not way for my call to be  completed, the number was not set up to receive calls.  The message seemed to drone on and on.  I hung up.  I came to the web to see if I could identify where the call came from.  I am glad we have freedom to access the internet and use the information wisely.  thanks

I hung up after I  said hello twice - no one said a word - wierd.

this person call me a few months ago, i picked up the phone but nobody answer, so the next time they call i didn't answer, now they call my house all the time i just ignore it, i get similar calls from other numbers,since i have caller id, i know it's them, so i pay no mind,
but they drive me crazy sometimes, like if i have nothing better to do.

I am the person to answer the phones in this very small office.  I am not exagerating when I say that I have "hung up" on this phone number (yes, it does show on caller id) 8 times today...alone.  They call almost every day.  I am going to call ATT tomorrow to see what they can do.

Same thing here.  Multiple calls per day for the last several days. I've answered, but there is noone there.  If anyone finds a way to block this, please post it.

Received call today. No one spoke after I answered. I held the call long enough to write the number down. I tried to call the number back and I received a "cannot be completed as dialed" message.

Received a call from this number claiming to be from Con Edison.  Claiming that we owe a bill.  We tell them no cannot be possible our electrical company is not with Con Edison.  They say Ok, but they continue to call every other week or so.  My father was home one day and they called consecutively on that same day.  My father lost his patience and raised his voice at them telling them to stop calling.  But they insisted that they wanted to see our electrical bill and that they would call back again.  When my father asked them why would they call back, they said that they wanted to chat with him.  That was when we realized it was some sort of stupid prank call.

that number keeps calling our business, I get about 3 calls a week, no one ever answers when I pick up.  How can i make them stop calling?

These people are so rude!!!!!!! I have told them numerous times to quit calling my home. The last time I was so mad and was screaming at them and cursing for them to stop calling because we are on the Nationwide DO NOT CALL LIST which is pointless and I don't speak spanish. Then they decided to keep my line busy by not hanging up. Then i was really really mad. I threatened to call the Better Business Bureau to report this scam and they finally hung up the phone. Now they are calling my home at 11:00 P.M.. I have tried to call this number back and it says there is no service. If you ever get a call with this number DON'T ANSWER IT!!! YOU CAN GUARANTEE THEY ARE RUNNING SOME KIND OF SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a call from this number today and I live in Alabama. I kept saying hello but no one answered but I could here people in the background.

Got a call from 305-800-1000 caller I.D. as Florida at about 8:45 p.m. today.  A woman speaking only in very thick Spanish asked to speak with me by name.  I would only answer in English, and after a fumbled sentence or two, she hung up.  I tried calling back about 5 or 6 times, but only got the quick circuits busy tone.  Usually when I get calls in the evening from numbers I don't recognize, I answer the phone, "May I help you?"  This really throws folks off, and they will frequently just hang up immediatly.

This #v has been bothering me all day long. I have no idea WTF is happening. Be aware, this cannot be good.
