I receive calls from this number, it is arecording saying that I must my name and ssan for aninvestigation. investigation for what?

Micheal birch called left 2 message in the space of 3 minutes financial matter never said my name but my phone number links to the case also my ssn i need to call right away.

First off they never explain who exactly they are. That is highly suspicious to me. And the thing is, they never say my name, or the last 4 digits of my SS#. If it were a legit legal matter, as they claim it to be,  they would state very obvious details about the case, but they never do. Also, I have blocked variances of this number and this company from my phone and they keep calling me from a different line. I am about to find out how to file a complaint.

Leaving a message here on a public forum does not stop anything.

My call blocker stops all calls from area code 305. Too simple.

Received the same annoying message. I tried to press 1 to get someone on the line but the call disconnected. I would really like to know how to stop the unwanted calls

Fraud. Talk to these idiots twice and both times they tried saying they were filing fraud charges against me.  Funny thing is there in no position to charge anyone with anything. My family attorney contacted them and told them if they ever call this number again we would sue for harassment, which we will.  please keep calling my phone you [***] pleaseeeee lol

Leaving a message here is very helpful to others who have gotten similar calls from this (and other) numbers, who might not understand that it's a scam in the making.

Your other point about call blockers is valid and useful.

They harassed me so I harassed them. Called them all day after they call me and they were SO mad . Very funny. but they need to stop this scam

Scam, they say your phone and ss# is tied to an account where u owe $$. they try to scare you by saying he is an invertigator.  try to threaten you by saying i'm going to turn this over to the prosecutors office.  Don't fall for it.

They called me like 5 times within 15 minutes and left messages each time. When I finally called back the woman said that my name and phone and SSN was tied into a loan I did online. First off, she had the wrong email address that I haven't used in years and an old mailing address. I asked her who the company was and she couldn't tell me that. FLAG!

This number called me twice today and left the same voicemail each time. Said he was investigator Michael birch and my phone and ssn are linked to a financial transaction investigation. blah blah blah not falling for it.

Ok, I got several calls from this # 305-842-2237.  I called back several times. Still could never speak with this Michael Burch.  I spoke to several rude women that said to tell the judge about it then, and hung up on me. I called them right back.  They implied that I had taken out a payday loan that was never paid back.  I have never had one in my life!  I demanded to know where this court session would be handled, because I would be there.  I was put on hold, then a man came back on the phone and said it has been dismissed, good luck to you ma'am and hung up.  Oh Yeah, SCAM!!

How can I verify whether or not a debt collector is legitimate?
Here are a few warning signs that could signal a debt collection scam:

The debt collector threatens you. Legitimate debt collectors probably won't claim that they'll have you arrested or claim that they or their employees are law enforcement officers.

The debt collector refuses to give you information about your debt or is trying to collect a debt you do not recognize. You have certain rights to ask a debt collector to verify the debt. You can use this sample letter to request this information. Ask for an explanation in writing before you pay.

SCAM! I received multiple calls from this number in a short period of time before I finally answered. They tried to tell me that they were filing a lawsuit against me and sueing me for a balance owed from a debt collector from 2011 and the only way to avoid court or a "felony" would be to agree to and pay a smaller amount they came up with. I asked for some form of documentation since I had clearly never received anything. They stated that they could not forward me anything as they are not obligated to and the debt collector would have to yet they could not reference anything to me as to where I coud receive documentation but were willing to try to take my money. I asked to speak to someone else, they placed me on "hold". I hung up and called back stating that I had done some research and found mutliple complaints filed against them and that if they call me again I would be more than happy to refer them to my attorney and they could look forward to a call from her. They told me that was fine and they hung up on me.

This phone number is a spam. If it calls your house do not answer it and do not give the person any information.

I got the damn call from that 3058422237for two days. So i blocked my number and kept calling to get on their nerves. Its funny to hear them get upset when you call back

   Caller states that they are an investigator with some "legal" place. They are investigating a legal transaction and they are looking for someone else. I told them not to call 3 times but they kept up and when I called back and wanted to know the name of the organization, they hang up quickly!   This is scam time, so don't give ANY info to these people.
