I have been harassed for the past month by a telemarketer calling all day and all night (after 11:00 PM on occasion) from 916-479-8488. Well I have "good" news, they have switched their number to 305-848-1247 and are just as anoying as ever. I have log complaints to the FTC, and the Do-not-call registery with absolutely no results. What a surprise, big government can't do anything for me. It appears they are not concerned with telephone terrorism. I am sick of the constant calls, with the telemarketer (who can barely speak an ounce of english) asking personal questions trying to coax personal information out of me, ignoring my requests to remove my name from their list (as this number is listed on the BS Do-Not-Call registery) or laughing/screaming my name over and over in responce to my request. If anyone can figure out who these people are, please give me their mailing address so I can send a certified letter, with an appropriate copy to my congressman....On second thought, I think I will just buy an airhorn.

i have the same problem with a crazy girl screaming and asking about me, i called the number and reached a voice mail , and saud i will file a complaint with the Miami dade police.

Calling on behalf of Mastercard. Trying to sell a monthly product w/promise of gas card. Keep calling after asking to be taken off list. Called 6 times tonight including 10:36p.m.

i had a couple calls from this number, and when i tried to call back, i got that stupid answering machine. they want your name, number, and home address just to take you off their list? that's a load of bull!

Called and asked for me by name and then hung up.  I've been getting a rash of calls which seem to have died down after registering with the do not call registry over a month ago.  This maybe a number used to make harassing calls from paid internet service since so many of us are getting erroneous calls from it.

This number has called a million times in the last three days.  I have asked several times to be taken off their list.  They had the last four digits of my credit card, bank name, my name, my address.  Reported them to my bank.  This one is dangerous.  Be very careful.

This number has called me today. It comes from Florida. It is annoying. I recommend to everyone have your answering machine pick up the call. Use your machine's automated messaging system. It sounds computerized, and they will hang up immediately. I know this is harrassment without any protection for us, but this seems to fix the problem at least a little. Any number you don't recognize, let the machine pick it up. If its personal, they will leave a message and will call you back later. Remember, change your answering machine's greeting if it is a personal greeting you have created. Use the computerized system, it is impersonal and it sounds like it on the phone too. I am also receiving these calls but I contacted my phone service company and they told me to get ahold of the FCC. I sent an e-mail to this address for the FCC which my phone company gave me "fccinfo@fcc.gov". So if everyone sends in a complaint, the company that is calling will be fined $10,000+ for every reported incident. This is according to my phone service. If you call your phone service and ask for the phone number for the FCC, they will give it to you. We need to start complaining to the FCC.

I have also been inundated with phone calls from these people, i have tracked to dead ends everywhere. they call 3 to 4 times a day. they are live people on the phone. do not give them any info. they will hang up if you ask for a supervisor etc...  It does no good to call the credit card company. they will not help. I am filing a formal complaint with the FCC, FBC, and any other state and federal source. call the local state agencies, they will be the first to help(like the GBI for GA, or florida agency. they will hound you worse if you get upset or mad. they called me 9 times from fri to sun, ruined the weekend. I feel everyones agony over this. lets get them.

yep same here 4-5 times a day/night. They say nothing on the phone or they ask for someone who does not live at your address but has same last name. They try to get your first name from you, and then call back all night asking for the name you gave. Definitely phone harassment. Do not answer your phone if you see any 305, or 916, or 918 numbers show up..They are all in it together..Trust me I get them all the time for the last 6 months. Good luck.

Ok . They just called my cell phone and when I called it back all I got was a voicemail. This is bull crap. This stuff needs to stop.

just started calling my cell phone...at first i thought it was my brother who lives in florida...WRONG......they call me again i'm telling them i'm coming down there and put a bullet in their AS*...
