Your calls are like fax beeps, please release me from your list

SPAM. Various scams.

I have received several calls from this number over the coarse of this week (Sept 17-Sept 21). The caller is an automated voice. The nature of the call seems to be about credit card debt reduction. A topic in which we have no interest.

    The point of this is that unlike television, commercial radio and internet searches with which we a good deal of control over what we watch or listen to by way of the channel changing or the on/off control. The telephone for many, paticularly special needs people and the elderly rely on their telephone service, be it land based or wireless to be in communication with those that can be of assistance or are concerned with their care and well being.

    I feel there should be much stricter controls on who may call a person on their private telephone. A service which we pay for to have and use for our own purposes. Since when did it become OK to allow solicitation organisations to call the general populace for their own gain and purposes, traditional forms of advertising should be good enough.

    The entire concept simply feels wrong.

This number won't stop calling me, but you can't call it back!

Caller supposedly from 306-955-0101, looks like a local Saskatoon number but, caller located in Winnipeg. Some kind of company that offers employment insurance refunds for family members.

Couple of things needed here ...

This company, or whoever they are, need to stop calling telephone numbers for which they have no association.

The local telephone company needs to do stop long distance callers showing up as local numbers.

If you call the numbers back, it's not in service ...

someone is now running the old Microsoft Technical Support scam from this number ..........  told him we do not have a computer or a laptop and they hung up........ the last time I had such a call (from a different number )  I blew up and hollered at them....that led to a string of abusive phone calls spewing obscenities and eventual involvement of the RCMP  ( nothing they could do )  ......  

Another telemarketing call but this time, here are some details, caller is actually Arena Digital, located in Toronto, their phone number is actually 855-733-8121 which, had it actually shown up on my caller ID as such would have triggered the telermarketer suspicion automatically, oh well, i guess i will have to remember that any call from the number 306-955-0101 are actually not from this number, who knows where they are from but, considering the fact that the callers don't care to send along their actual legitimate number with the call, the whole thing - call, caller, their co-workers, their friends, families, pets and anyone who looks like them can be considered suspicious and, really should not be answered on the basis that there is probably something much more valuable to do with that portion of one's life rather than waste it on the likes of such idiocrisies. i don't know if i have said enough but besides the actaul callers company name and phone number, the callers name was Joseph, or ... was it ...  you can decide that should your telephone ring with the number 306-955-0101 on it ...

Received call from this number at work. Said they were calling from Peavy Mart on 51st (which is a legit local business). She was VERY pushy and would not give me any details but just insisted on speaking to the owner of the business because she has "an amazing opportunity for him" .... unsure how great an opportunity it could be since she had to ask me what the nature of our business was at the beginning of the call. This is pure harassment and I wish they would calls like this traceable and illegal already!

I called my own cell phone from a Skype account and this number showed up on call display. Thought it was weird to have a Saskatchewan number calling from Skype so I checked online. This number probably shows up as a ton of different companies.
