dead silence when answered

Call My Business Before Hours, No One On The Line

i'm located in canada and just recieved a call from this number from a woman with a heavy accent telling me that i won a fido cell phone. she asked for my health card number and well as sin, but i was really iffy on this and just hung up. she knew a lot of mine and my mother's info though, so i'm pretty worried about what kind of a scam this is and how my info is involved.

would love to hear other people's takes on this and how i can go about finding out how to file a complaint to get them disconnected.

A woman who sounded like she was from India called and Identified herself as working for "Online Pharmacy"  She asked if I needed any antibiotics and I said no thanks an she asked if I needed any other medications because they were offering free shipping.  I told her no again and when she asked when she could call me back I said Never. She said she would make a note of that.

no one said anything when i answered. my friend went to mexico for springbreak and i thought that it could have been her.Typed the # on google and got this..good looking out!

Same as above, never anyone there.  I figure they call several numbers at once and then talk to the first one to answer.  Perhaps this should be considered interstate harrassment and should be reported to the FTC and FCC.  Actually fedral harrassment is a fedral situation and we should contact the FBI?

Caller claimed to be with AT&T and wanted to save me money on my DSL. Only problem is I am in a rural location and can't get DSL. I'm on wireless. Lady also had my address wrong so before I hung up I told her she must not be with AT&T because they had my correct address. She called back in a few minutes and claimed to have my correct address which wasn't even in the right town.

Dang scammers.

They keep calling daily and don't take no for an answer. I don't even answer my cell when I see "unknown" or their 307-215-1001 number. Isn't there anything that can be done to stop these calls?

I live in IL.  I got a call from United Travel Network about my entry being a winner.  I won either a car, a tv or a vacation.  They want me to come out on the weekend for a 90 min presentation.  When I started asking about the vacation club, they said they did not know the price.  This is a scam - no website in operation, they probably want up front fees for a vacation discount.  I am not interested.

Got a call from the 307 number, picked up and heard it ringing so they must be using an autodialer.  As I hung up I heard a woman trying to act like she had just called.  She called back about three minutes later, very thick accent, and claimed to be from AT&T, asked for my boss and his wife by name.  I just told her there wasn't anyone here who could talk about our phone service right now and hung up.  Sounds more sinister now that I see they have multiple scams going on from this number, may be phishing for ID theft or slamming your phone service.  I will definitely warn my receptionist about this one, and probably call my AT&T account rep.

They called my house twice at 1 am and 2 am.  Left no message.

they told me that they were with AT&T and needed to speak with the person in charge of the account.

Called about 11AM. Did not leave a message. Just the number show the caller id.

called back; woman answered the phone with "what's your ISP?"  i told her, "you called me--what do you want?"  she hung up.  filed complaint w/ DNC registry (i am on the DNC list).

calls come from "marketing something or other, FWIW...

Been calling every day this week - no one on the line. When you call the number back it says it's disconnected.
