Only a number showed up on caller ID.  When answered, no one there

Unknown Name showed up on caller ID along with the phone number.  I said hello several times and waited, but no one ever responded.

I answer the call 307-215-1002. Put it on speaker phone.   A female said hello.  I reply hello back. Can I help you. She state is so-n-so there. I stated no.  The female says whom am I speaking too? I reply who are you? The female reply Linda.  I informed her (linda) that they can call back in the morning for so-n-so.  The call orginal from Casper,Wy.  There are the social groups that offen get people's numbers from the internet through the internet white pages. Kinda like the Bell phone book you know (let your fingers do the walking. Well anyway google is one that is resposible of logging private information and giving it away just to anyone. They have access to your address unless you have this taken off right away. Not too many people know this.  But try it yourself. You will be shock at what it is that you will find.

i got a long and hilarious call from this number on my answering machine.  my machine picked up the call with a woman speaking with a spanish accent.  she's saying "hello?  hello?"  obviously, it's some half-backed out-bound dialer with poor call progress analysis.  this is why the agent often does not know that an answering machine has picked up the call.

anyway, after she realizes no one is answering, she gets a connection on another line but my machine is somehow recording her conversation - apparently she's got the conversation on speakerphone. so, she asks for so-and-so and the guy on the other line says "you've got the wrong number".  well, this doesn't deter our phone solicitor.  she says "are you the owner of this phone number?".  they guy doesn't seem to understand her and responds with "huh?".  she goes on:  "hello, my name is so-and-so and i'm calling from such-and-such.  how are you doing?"  the guy shoots back "how i'm doing is none of your g-d d-mn business!".  she is oblivious as she continues: "the reason for my call, sir, is that you've been selected to receive . . .".  at this point, the guy cuts her off by shouting "i'm not interested in any of your b-ll sh-t!" and hangs up on her.  still, she appears to have no idea that my machine is still recording her.  she, either to herself or perhaps to a co-worker, starts cursing in spanish saying something like "pincha caron . . . . blah blah . . . b-ll sh-t . . . blah blah . . . b-ll sh-t." then it sounds like she gets back to my line and asks again "hello, hello?"  then she starts another call and finally the message ends.  i need to get this on some other medium and post it - it will crack you up.  and don't we need some entertainment from these people when the majority of the time they are phone-spamming us?

Getting calls from this number (307-215-1002) at all hours of the day and night. If I answer, they hang up. If I don't answer, they don't leave a message, just 3 minutes of silence OR 3 minutes of beeps and click.

If this is some type of Solicitation call, they are violating the Federal DNC List by calling me, but even more so by calling me between 1:30 AM and 5:30 AM!

Will be doing more research to find out who actually owns this number and how to have them stopped.

I got my call from this number. I think I get alot of these calls just wyoming is new to the game. I suspect this is like hacking or breaking firewalls or something because if you thing about it how can you file fcc charges against a stolen unregistered number. They can break the law but they do it in stealth mode. This minds me of all the spam emails I used to get from russia on american service providers. I know they don't offer verizon/dsl in Moscow - yet! They highjack peoples valid email/phone accounts.

October 25/08    Called every 45 minutes, during a 7 hour period.    I have absolutely no dealings with anyone in Wyoming and have requested they not bother or call.  I have been forced to unplug my phone or hang up on whomever it is.  A total waste of their and my time.

Calls my office at least twice a day.  When I answer I get nothing.  When I don't answer they leave a blank voice-mail.  Very annoying.

These idiots have been calling our office for 2, yes, TWO years for a person who hasn't worked here for 2, yes, TWO years to renew a "free" magazine subscription to "Plastics Molding Magazine".  Sometimes they say it's a slightly different name, Plastics Injection Magazine or simply Plastics Magazine, but nonetheless, the variety of the names makes me wonder what kind of scam this really is.  I've sent emails to magazines that have similar sounding names, inquiring if it is them who are contacting us but none respond.  How nice.

The callers, this time it was Selina Sanchez, are always dopey-sounding females that never understand anything I say to them, like when I try to explain after they ask for a production manager or engineer that we don't manufacture anything, let alone something plastic.  There's a crapload of spoofed numbers they call on, but it always seems to be the same call center with a penchant for hiring barely-bilingual hispanic women.  

I wonder how many years they will attempt to contact this guy by using the wrong number, 5, 10 years?  How many years can a joke of a telemarketing firm be open before the government decides to oh, I dunno, enforce the law?

They use FAKE phone numbers, so the chances of them actually being located in WY is as likely as the locations of all the other area codes they pretend to call from:

They called my cell today, but I did not answer because I did not recognize the number. Left no message. Looking it up on this website makes me glad I didn't answer.

Called this morning, got my voice mail and immediately pressed 0, but did not speak.  Wyoming area code.  My phone system logs what callers press if I don't answer.  They then hung up.

At&t business customer service calls our office ALL the time, and everytime I politely tell them we are not interested and to not call our number again.  Well today (02.13.09), same situation happened and after I told the guy to not call anymore I hung up.  5 seconds later he called back and (with a foreign accent of course), said "F**k you Bit*h" then hung up in my face!!!!  I was appalled at this and of course when you *69 the number it gives you the number but then try and call it, it says this is not a working number!!  I am so furious right now that the "CUSTOMER SERVICE REP" could be sooooo rude!!!!!!!!!  Mark my words....he will be found and fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Received call at 4:30, Female with East Indian accent selling plug in power saving device,  I refused offer and politely said good bye and ended call. She immediately calls back and says why do you refuse offer?

got 6 calls in the last 2 days no one there till tonight all I got then was ha ha i don't think it is funny.

I have receive several calls from this number. I answered once and no one spoke up. When you try to call back the number says it is not a working number or the area code has changed.
