Did this number call you in response to an add on the Internet?

Lots of confusing txt messages for an add on kijiji.. No conversation just someone telling you what they want you to do for them to make a sale on your item. Sounds like a scam of some sort...

Placed an Ad for a table saw in Calgary.  Had brief text message wanted to be contacted at

janemary177@gmail.com - which is illogical as we were having a text conversation.

Sounds like a scammer.

Contacted me via text for an add on kijiji. Didn't want to keep texting and wanted to be contacted by email instead. Janemary177@gmail.com. The email didn't make sense, said they had a pick up agent and that would be coming for the "item". This is a online scammer

I got a text for an add on Kijji. Asked me to contact him at janemary177@gmail.com

I googled him up because that was strange. I'm happy I did not contact him. This is a scammer.

He text me and asked me to email him at janemary177@gmail.com.. Weird!!!

Ya this [***] is a scammer, wanted me to send 600$ to the shipping company. Sent a fake PayPal email to my account saying that PayPal was holding my payment until I sent the payment for shipping.

Hi person contact me and want to buy item and pay by pay pal, any one have idea how can I get money and give wrong address they say will send somone to collect item...

Got a text at three in the morning regarding an ad I have on Kijiji. Wanted me to respond to them by e-mail,  jamesfranc@gmail.com

Yup, you are correct, he is a known scammer.  Does not seem to realize that in modern times fairly easy to triangulate between cell with wyoming area and IP address - local police and RCMP seem pretty happy.  Apparently hoping he contacts again, even easier. So if anyone approached by someone with same MO, forward immediately to local law enforcement.  Used markregan80@gmail.com this time, and above wyoming number.

Just got a text from 678-820-8578 wanting me to e-mail this person at the markregan338@gmail.com e-mail. seems illegit

I have been getting responses from Markregan338@gmail.com in response to a kijiji ad.
Obviously a scam as he wants to set up exchange of money through paypal without seeing the item.
Who do we contact to report?

markregan338@gmail.com, sent a text message yesterday with a 647 number [Toronto] about an ad for a car we're selling. My parents, who are not technologically savvy were falling for it, lucky l am home from university for summer so that l could stop them. This is EXTREMELY dangerous for others like my parents who can't tell the difference between a scam and a legit response.
