- Jim| 3 repliesI received a call from a person with an Indian accent identifying himself as being from "Tech Services". I told him that he was about the 50th person to call me to fix the "problems" with my computer.
I said that Microsoft, HP and Windows do not call customers. I told him that he was a scammer like all of the rest of them. He tried to talk over me and convince me that he was legitimate. But our conversation basically went down hill from there. I told him to bite me, then hung up on him.
Don't answer the phone if you do not recognize the number, unless of course you just want to antagonize them. Whatever you don't give them control of your PC. They will steal your personal information while "fixing" your problem.- Caller: Unknown Name on Caller ID

- Sue| 1 replyJust got a call from them saying six new computers got access to my network. I said maybe it's my nieces and nephews and then thanked him and hung up. Then I looked up the number and found this. I don't think micosoft call people to tell them their computers network have problems.
- Jim CCall alleging they are "my" MS Window support. Sounds very professional (and with an Indian accent). They go to an place in the computer and report you have a zillion people or sites trying to get to your computer and for only $209.00 they can keep they out forever. They want to access your computer though teamview.com or other site. Say no, the cost will be $159.00 down to $80 or so. Continue to say no and they start telling you your machine will soon die and begging etc. I said no, a hundred times, and hung up while the "Technician" was still talking. They continue to call back. I will not answer anymore...

- Jack| 1 replyThe same thing happened to me . Caller knew my email address and phone number. He asked if I had added 12 computers to my MS account. Of course I said no. He then asked if I would go to my computer and check a certain file. I said I could not do that because I was not at home. He asked when I would be at home and I told him and he said he would call back then. If he does, I dont plan on answering this time.
- Kevinyet another person helpfully calling from Microsoft to let me know that 15 people logged onto my network last night and offered to help if I'd let him have access to my computer and network. For some reason he wasn't amused when I told him my IP address was 127.0.0.1. Of course, having a caller ID saying Wyoming, and area code from New York and someone speaking in the background in a non-English language wasn't at all suspicious.
I just wish Microsoft had been this helpful when they sent me the wrong upgrade disk a couple of years ago- Caller: 5
- BethI received a phone call at my office saying that it was Jose (Jose with an Indian accent?!) with Microsoft Tech support and 11 people had logged on to my computer last night. I told him that he was calling a law firm and he hung up on me. SCAM!!!
- annesince i don't know anyone in WY, didn't answer. why are you answering calls from unknown people? i immediately

- KathyReceived a call from this phone number today, but I do not know anybody in Buffalo, Wy so I did not answer the phone. I Googled the phone number and have been reading all the reports about this phone number. I have blocked the number on my phone and have reported the number to the "do not call" people. I you can block the phone number on your phone you will not get anymore calls from this number, but I'm sure these people have lots of phone numbers. And the next time they call and you answer the phone, tell them that you are in the witness protection program and the FBI and CIA are listening to all your calls, bet that gets rid of them for good! Hahaha!
- Jim replies to SueSame scenario - he asked if at 3:25 am I added eleven computers to my network. I said "yes, I did" - and he hung up.
- HackMan replies to JimA Definite Scam: India Woman thick accent told me that MS Security has detected Security Issues with my PC and she was calling to help me fix the issues. As was already said, Microsoft does not call me about issues. But the real giveaway on the scam: they first called on the Pegasus number from Buffalo WY, and I did not answer. But ten minutes later, got the call above from "No Caller ID".
- Bev GrayI received this same type of call from this number today. I filed a complaint about this scam with the FTC. You all should too! https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#&panel1-1

- littleone replies to JimI had the same thing happen to me just a few days ago, he was very convincing as he was explaining how I had others that were using my computer or running theirs with mine I almost believed him. He got me into a web site that is real but as I got in there a big ALERT sign came onto my screen I told him about it and he said oh don't worry about that just scroll down and hit okay but I hit DECLINE instead and that made him mad so he told me to try again I hit decline again then I hung up and changed everyone of my passwords.
- littleoneBe Careful these scammers can be very convincing they can make you believe that you have 11 others on you computer. Then they will try to get you into the teamview website which is a real website just make sure you hit the DECLINE or they will get into your computer system. They also did say they were from Micro Soft and that they couldn't send me an email do to the problems with my computer system. It looks like they are hitting everyone every where what a scam to hurt others.
- Caller: said they were microsoft
- Kathy DI've gotten several calls from this #, which I did not answer. Now..here's the STRANGE PART...my computer crashed last week, and the pop-up said that it was being sent to Microsoft tech dept. Then, I start getting these calls. I'm wondering if someone has hacked into Microsoft's servers and is intercepting the Problem Reports. Perhaps, I'll see if I can give Microsoft a call!!
