It's a service named Credit Management and they aren't opposed to even harassing employers who previously employed default debtors!

Called first marked "Private" . I answered pretending to be a recorded voice saying: "I'm sorry, this number does not answer calls marked Private".
They called right back. Guy said he was trying to reach my neighbor John ******* @ **** ******* Street. I've encountered this type of call before and realized it's a low down collection agency using low down methods by calling neighbors of the party they are looking for asking them to leave a note on their door with a call back #. They try to pretend that they are a friend and it's an emergency. I asked them to describe John which he couldn't do. So, since he's obviously not a friend I gave him the "Sorry, don't know the guy" response. These collection agencies are getting way too sneaky and what business do they have harrassing someone's neighbor?

this is credit managment in grand island ne.  called parent company 800-658-4447 and talked to manager. she said it is state law that they can contact a neighbor to get the persons contact info ill have to check into that more.  what a bs bill collector move of course.  They have a legal obligation to stop calling you when you contact them in person and inform them to not call again. fyi call the business and talk to a manager and yell some lol

This outfit called today and asked for my wife by name.  They told her she had been listed as a "good reference" for my ex-wife (which is funny if you know how poorly those two get along) and asked for her phone number.  My wife says "she's in the book."  They say "We've been having trouble reaching her at that number; do you know her work schedule?"  My wife says "no."  They say, "Well, do you know where she works so we can try to reach her there?"  My wife says "no."  They say, in a surly tone, "Well, ok then, thank you" and hang up.

If I said they weren't above lying to get info, I'd be understating the case.  They lie their a**es off right out of the chute.  Nothing wrong with these guys a well-aimed tornado wouldn't fix.

Just got a call from this number, using the private call feint first, then the C M on caller ID.  They asked for me, using a wrong first name, and a testily corrected them on how it's pronounced.  They were looking for one of my children, and I gave them no information.  I hate these people and they have no business calling everyone that might have met the person looking for information.
