Received a call from Varsity Publications.  Asked how they got my contact information and was told from a Chamber website.  When I asked to be removed from this list, and I don't think they should be pulling my information from the website I got the remark; "Well, you shouldn't have your information on the website."  I then asked where she was calling from and she hung up.  Sounds like great service.
Spoke with a superviser named John.  He said phone calls are recorded and removed my information.

This varsity publications company is completly unethical. The asked me if to take an ad they would design and I would have to approve it. The ad they sent was a copy of my website banner. I replied I did not want the ad. Now they keep sending me a bill and calling for the bill on an add that I did not approve.

I keep getting calls from them constanly. They will not stop, have called all hours of the night also.

If you are a business owner, and you publish a phone number for that business, you cannot put that number on a Do Not Call list.
Even if it's a home or cell phone. As long as it's listed as your contact number for your business, it cannot be on the DNC.

Received a call just now. Asked for the owner of the company. When I said the owner was not available, the man hung up on me.

Typical. I get calls like this all day. I bet all the calls I get like this actually add up to about 30-60 minutes of my work day to tell them all the same thing (owner is unavailable).

so that explains why i am on every do not call list yet get 100's of calls a month.  That just sucks, but thank god for a called id box that bolcks 100 numbers from getting through.  they can call all they want but 1. i am never home during the day and 2. they can no longer get through !!

try this one.. i did it and the person freaked.  have a few people around in on this and it works like a charm.  when the idiot's call tell them you are investigator  johnson of (use the name of your local police dept" and you are investigating a homicide.  ask them who they are calling and what is their relationship with this preson.  they usuually stutter, tell them you want their name and all contact info and you will ahve an officer from their local dept come and interview them.  just ask a lot of questions you hear from the tv shows like the first 48 and freak them right out.

Multiple calls on my personal cell phone. Never answer since I don't know anyone in Pekin, IL.

That'd be hilarious if it weren't for the fact that it's highly illegal to impersonate an officer of the law.

Called before business hours this morning and did not leave a message.

Also received a call asking if I would be interested in purchasing an ad for something related to the local high school's athletic association.  Never identified herself with this third-party company.  I am also a Chamber member which is where they got my number from.  When someone mis-uses my information to try and sell me their product, I try and sell them mine right back.  They usually do not like this LOL

I also got a call from Nick and his supervisor John.  I told them I was not interested.

But, they kept calling, so I told them that if they would sign up on my energy site for a free discount off their energy bill, that I would buy the banner ad that they were selling for $495.00

They're not on an auto dialer and they close at 5. That's completely untrue. How would I know? They do print work for me. They're an excellent company to work with and make great products. Didn't think anyone would bust you for making up stuff huh?

Chris was not an owner at any time just a manager.  The owner has major anger issues and has no reason owning a business!
