They called stating they was the irs and that I owed them and if I didn't pay I would arrested

I got a call from this number stating they are from the IRS. They gave an agent reference number and the message stated if I didn't call legal matters would be taken.

They called and said they are the irs and wanted t arrest me for a illegal filing matter

Same message as al above. But funny I just got a letter from the irs and my bill was paid

I got the same message today....sounds fishy to me....My opinion an official IRS agent would not leave that kind of message

This is a total scam.  I got a phone call today saying it was a call from the IRS.  I also got an email yesterday saying I am seriously delinquent and would be prosecuted.  The email said it was from the IRS but the email address from where the message originated is an outlook.com address!  Ha ha ha! How dumb can these people be?  It would definitely be an address that was something like customer@irs.gov  - not a stupid hotmail account that anyone could create for free!  OMG, I just hope they don't fool some poor person who doesn't realize what evil little weasels they are.

They left  threaten message on my voicemail

Got a call claiming they were Its. I knew that it's doesn't call they send letters so I told them him he was, scamming mother f and called he police  the police who just told me to ignore it. Isn't it the police job to heroism.

On 2-27-2015 a Dave Betch left a message from 309-565-8090 at 6:01 PM, providing a 5 digit # and indicating he could be reached from 8 AM to 7 PM and claiming to be an agent for the Internal Revenue Service. This like several other fishing or scam incidents are not only pervasive but are still cheating many people even after national notifications that the IRS does NOT reach out to you by telephone, unless you have a matter, originally discussed with the IRS and for which you have requested a return phone call. Otherwise ALL "collection attempts" are first documented and followed up on via regular mail or certified mail, depending on the level of the collection or audit process.
