Got a call from this number with an automated voice that said "Hello, this is Pacific Crest Credit Union" followed by something about them having "locked" my debit card and that I should call an 800 number or press 1 to speak to their security division.  This immediately made me think "This is a phishing call" and I hung up.

A quick search reveals that this was indeed a fraudulent "phishing" call.  PCCU is a legitimate business that has nothing to do with the calls, and they've had numerous complaints about this sort of thing.  There is a notice on the PCCU webpage not to call or give any info to these people.

These are scammers. Do not give them any information. They say they are closing your account and if you want to activate it, press 1. Then they ask you to enter your credit card number. Do not give it. This is a scam !!!!

Received a call from this company just now.  Same as above, but calling from "Suntrust Bank."  Suspected fishing - thankfully did not press 1, and instead Googled

received call from this number saying my bank acct was locked--don't know anyone at this number. I suspected a scammer or someone phising for info so, i humg up.

I just received a phone call from this number claiming that my account with Pacific Crest Credit Union had been locked for further info to press 1 to speak with security.  Firstly, I have no such account and secondly, I was smart enough to hang up and google it.  When in doubt, hang up!!!  If any of your accounts are in fact "locked", the banks not going anywhere.  You can always call them again during their business hours.  Remember, when in doubt...HANG UP!! (or fall subject to credit theft)

They must be pretty active if four of us received calls today!

Just got a call saying my suntrust bank account was locked.  actually, the call came in to my 13year old son's phone.

oh yeah, and i don't have a suntrust bank account!

Received the same call from 309-670-0830, hung up and called suntrust to confirm if accounts where ok.  Suntrust is passing number to thier fraud unit.

Yep!  Just got the scam call just now.  Same number.

got the same call at 11pm saying my Suntrust a/c was locked, press 1 to connect to rep. I do not know any businesses calling anybody at late night hours. Who owns this phone number and why can't FTC or phone company that provided this number or FBI do some thing about it?

I got the call today too. they said they were from Suntrust bank.  I hung up on the recording.

Got the same call from 309-670-0803 on March 16 2011 @ 7:26pm to my cell phone.  I immediately hung up because I knew was a scam.  Banks do not call you if you are locked out of your account! Plus do not have a bank account w/Sun Trust.  This is a way for people to steal your identity!

Same thing....said they were Sun Trust Bank and locking my credit card.  I don't have a Sun Trust account at all (or a credit card) so I was suspicious.  It is a total scam.  Beware!!  They also called at 11pm.

Yeah, don't like getting scamming phone calls such as this at 340am in the morning.....wow.  I pressed 1 just to see if any sort of legitimate information was going to be presented.  Nope.    The truly sad thing is how many people actually give their credit card information away.....

I received a phone call from this number telling me "Hi your Master Card account has been locked, dial 1 to have it unlock, and to speak with a custorme representative"

I just hung up right away.
