Calling All Hours!

Caller ID says Grassroots1. Either a political outfit or a lawn service  Do not know anyone in Pekin, IL so let it die. Number now blocked. Left no message.

Call Received, call Blocked.

Got a call from this number on my cell phone (a number I only give to family).  Didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number, and know no one in Illinois.  They left no message.  Now they are blocked.

Just got a call on my CELL from this number - said ILLINOIS - I answered it only b/c I do alot of national advocacy work, anyway she asked for the "lady or the man of the house"...LOL....then I asked who they were and they are some PRO LIFE group or something then proceeded to ask me if I WAS PRO LIFE, PRO ABORTION, etc etc etc...Wow.  I said goodbye.

They call.  I no recognize number.  They leave no VM.  I brock number.  No probrem.

Bring back the death penalty and use it on these dimwits. Calling at 9pm. They deserve it.

I answered with "hello". No response. "Hello", I again say. Female voice finally responds with "Hello" and nothing more for nearly five seconds. "May I speak to the man or lady of the house?" the woman asks. I thought, no, because it is not 1955 and disconnected her. To me, receiving these calls are bad enough, but when they don't identify themselves without making me guess, it really burns. I guess the DNCR means nothing to these "people".

Had a missed call from this number. I don't know them, nor do I know anyone in this area code. They are now blocked. Buncha idiots.

I never answer calls in which I do not recognize the number.  This was the case with this number.  No message left on my voicemail just as others here have stated.

Caller ID says Bloomington, IL.  A female voice says "Hello" and then it sounds like "Siri" from my iPhone saying "May I speak to the man or lady of the house?"  I said this is a business number and then "Siri" apologized.  A very strange call indeed.

Just another pile of goat dung to have their phone number blocked.

Call ID showed up as OutReach Comm on 03-11-2015 at 6:41 p.m. When the answering machine came on they stayed on until the machine shut off but there was no message.

Got a call from this number today while in class, asked to speak to the man or woman of the house. Said I was in class and that I wasn't taking solicitor calls. Woman then asked me how I felt about abortion and whether I was pro life or pro choice...I hung up.

The good thing (believe it or not, it does one) the DNCR is good for is it basically identifies most scammers. The legitimate telemarketers will pay attention to it, but government, political, charity calls, and bill collectors are exempt.
 As for the scammers, it's virtually nonexistent and since a good share of them come from overseas, it's a lost cause trying to combat the calls with anything other than trying to make them think your number's dead.

Another one of those nondescript caller IDs. "Bloomington IL" means nothing to me and I don't know anyone in that area. Not likely to answer a call that cannot truly identify who it is from. Number blocked...

Called here yesterday.  Did not answer, left no message.  Caller ID "Outreach Comm".

Call Received, call Blocked.

Never picked up but the phone says Bloomington Illinois

Call came in on my mobile at 8:59 PM. I answered the call. The caller asked if she could speak to the man or woman of the home. I said, "No, you cannot" and hung up.
