The caller, called us @11:22 A.M., 06/18/2014., we were busy. Since we received my  spoofed call from (310), (213), (818) we did not answer. I returned the call to 310-154-8596, to find out this number is not exit.
People reported this unwanted number to www.800notes.com above since 05/30/2014.
The caller might have used 310-596-1750 ( Jan. to Feb., 2014. ), 310-982-6440 ( Jan. & Feb., 2014)  to call us and others recently.
While I reported this information, the caller used " Unavailable" as ID & nu number to call us again.

Called again this morning. My husband answered the call this time. As reported on another site, this guy told  my husband he was calling back per my husband's instructions a few months ago for work to be done at our home. When my husband told this guy that was a  blatant lie, the guy hung up. Surprise, surprise. Have this number blocked now with 100's of other numbers.

Keeps calling - Construction Co.  Tried to call this co. back, but the telephone number no longer exists.  Finally put "so called #" in call blocked status.  Why am I on the do not call list?

Rang once for 1 second, hung up before I could answer, then rang again. I answered, got  3 or 4 seconds of silence, then it dropped.

Kinda funny, after going through the steps to spoof a non-assigned, non-legit 154 prefix, half the time their predictive dialer (I assume) fails to connect you to an agent, judging by reports here. So they're not only crooks, they're incompetent crooks.

It's a shame the call blocking facilities currently available to me do not support "wildcards" in blocking, it would be nice to be able to block prefixes that are never assigned anywhere. Oh well, one more reason to put in an asterisk system on my end.

Man trying to sell  me new windows for my house. I told him I didn't need any, then tried to sell me new roof, then new siding, then a paint job. I told him I did not need any of this stuff. THEN he tried to sell me solar panels, and then drip irrigation. I said no I didn't need / want any of that. Then he tried to sell me tankless hot water heater. I said no. I finally hung up on him.

2nd call received today.  The caller states that his dad instructed him to call as they are finishing up some projects on my street.  I asked where he was calling from and he hung up.

Called yesterday, but left no message.

NEVER answer a call that has the exchange prefix starting with "0" or "1".  So, although 210 is a valid area code for Texas, real phone numbers require the exchange (the next three digits beyond the area code) to start with 2-9 in the North American Numbering Plan Administration area (NANPA) which is the U.S. and Canada.  So, 714-123-xxxx, 512-098-xxxx, 972-145-xxxx, even 888-188-xxxx,  are ALL spoofed. (and the ever-popular 123-4567 ???... come on!)

They're crooks! And these crooks are stupid just like a lot of other crooks:  bank robbers who write their holdup notes on the back of their own, personal deposit slips; fugitives who get pulled over because they commit dumb traffic violations or who just don't bother registering their cars; shoplifters who walk out wearing stolen merchandise with the tags still showing.  These crooks are sailing with their pirate flag raised; they dumbly chose an impossible number (more of a "red flag", really).

If they have to resort to faking their phone number, you do NOT want to do business with them.

    Annoyed
I write down all the telemarketer/robo calls that hang up after 3 rings and never leave a message. Got a lot of 424 area codes for a couple of weeks, but not any lately.  Got the 310-154-8595 maybe once, but now the 818-154-8595 keeps calling.  Of course I never pick up on any of these numbers that don't identify themselves, but it is really annoying that they continue to pester us with the calls anyway.  Would like to smack them upside the head and yell at them to stop bothering people with their junk calls, but that will happen when pigs fly, I guess.  There.  Now I feel a little better.

This is a spoofed number. The number automatically disconnects after the caller uses it, so it cannot be traced to the scammer. I blocked it anyway, so the next scammer can't use it. :-)
