Got a call from this number showing on my missed calls. They left no message but I'm sure it's a scammer. Thought I should report it in case anyone else has received a call. I also received a call this week from 310-241-0012...so obviously someone has gotten a hold of my cell phone number.

My husband received a call from that same number asking for me and as soon as he said that he was my husband they hung up on him.

I received this call on my cell phone and did not answer - when I tried to call back it rang and rang, but no one ever answered.  Not sure who this may be, but it is very suspicious that they do not leave a message and you can not call them back.

I got a call from this number 1/12/08, i missed the call and i tired to call back but it only rang. then I called back it was busy. beware

310-241-0523 just called me. I tried to look it up to find out who it was but so far no such luck. PS was on the caller ID. They didn't leave a message. Recently, I registered with Publishers Clearing House. I have a feeling I won't get any $5000 a week but 5,000 calls a week...:(

I had a missed call from this number last night at 5:43pm; since I am working out of state I thought it could have been any number of people so I tried to call back...first I got the busy signal and then no answer.

Didnt answer the phone when they called b/c I didnt recognize the number. I have tried calling back numerous times from my cell and land line but always get a busy signal. I, like those above, had no voice message.

I received a call from this number and I called back but no one answered beware. Who knows who it could be.

I received a call from this number.  PS was on the caller ID.  Does not leave a message and just hangs up after the answering message is played.  Sometimes these calls hang up before your answering message is finished, but this did not.

Keep getting calls from the 310 area code.  Received 2 calls from 310-241-0523 and 310-241-0039.  I never answer and they never leave a number.  Freaky if you ask me!!!

I just received a call from this number on my work cell phone. Thinking it was a client, I answered. They immediately went in to some pitch about how I was entered in to some sweepstakes. I immediately asked how they got my number and they said that "my bank" entered me and gave them my number. Well, I've been with my  bank for 10 years and am certain that this is BS. After she told me that, I started to tell her that I did not appreciate these calls and to take me off of their list... but I did not get the chance, she hung up on me in mid-sentence. Rumor has it that this group has all of your personal information, including banking information, so keep a close eye on your statements and make sure they aren't charging you for anything.

this number has called repeatedly.

Did not answer.  Caller ID said the call was from PS.  No message was left.

I answered the call from this number and they said my bank or credit card company had entered me in a drawing. They said I could win a equinox, $25,000 or a trip for 2 to Australia. I picked the one I wanted then she said I could get 6 magazines for free if I purchased 1 subscription every month. So she told me that my info was entered in the computer and that her supervisor would call me back to get my credit card number for the subscription. I didn't give the first caller any info of mine. She already had my name and address. The "supervisor" called and wanted my info and said the first caller was new and asked how she did. Then she went on to ask about purchasin the mags and I told her I would have to talk to my husand first. SO she told me that was ok and she would call back later. Although first she asked me to call him at work and talk about it and she would call back in an hour. I told her no. Anyhow, I think it's a SCAM.

I have had 3 missed calls from this number in less than an hour. They did not leave a message and will not answer.

I got a call from this same number as well. They didn't leave a message and they didn't even let it ring until my voicemail picked up, it didn't get all the way through my ringer. It's got to be a scam.

Received a call from this number. She gave me the line that I had been entered in a $25,000 sweepstakes.  She said she was calling from Publishing Headquarters (NOT Publishers Clearing House). I was told I could receive 6 different magazines free for 48 months along with several other prizes. She already had my address and then asked me how old I was.  When I asked her how I was entered in the sweepstakes she told me my bank or credit card company had entered me but could not tell me which one.  As I was about to tell her that I am not giving any personal information over the phone for a sweepstakes I did not enter, she hung up on me. Smells like a scam to me.

I had been getting calls from this number as well and hadn't paid them that much attention.  After a month of calling I finally got pissed off and told them to quite calling my number.  The girl hung up on me and not 15 minutes later called back asked my name and then hung up again.  I started to investigate the situation and looked back at my call log and found 3 different numbers from this place (310-214-9069, 310-370-9706 and 310-241-0523).  I called them back to get info on the place so I could file a complaint with the BBB and all the info given was bogus.  I hope they all go to jail.

Got the 310-241-0523 number calling.  Missed the call but from what I observed from the previous posts this is a way to get personal info which is always a scam especially if they ask for credit card numbers, you won something you never entered or/and social security numbers. Got a busy signal everytime I called back from my work phone. Maybe they have caller ID too and saw the incoming call was from a police department.  THis is a resource to determine different types of email scams but are similar to phone scams:

Many times they are calling from out of the country making prosecution difficult.

I do not need a call back
