Appears to be scam to get your MasterCard number.  Related to phishing email sent to this user with "ITunes Store" in the subject line.  Email contains fake information on fake purchases with a MasterCard.  Received a text message (as a follow-up to aforementioned phishing email) asking to call this phone number.  Text message subject was MASTERCARD ALERT!!!.

Not hard to figure out.  Create concern over purchases that you think are occuring with ITunes and a Mastercard.  Follow-up with text message to call about a MASTERCARD ALERT.  The rest is up to the caller.  If the caller provides information then the scammers are on easy street.

This is a stolen call. They trying get all your information.

Funny, I don't own a mastercard.

Mastercard Alert please call to reactivate, my Husband got bthe exact same message I did. He has no mastercard and no I-tune account. Scam seems to be out of Beverly Hills, Ca. Not something my credit card companies would do. Can't something be done about this number, like deactivate it for harassing people.

Received text message on cell. reads:  "Mastercard Alert !! Please call 310-362-7388 to re-activate it." Once yesterday and again this morning.  Ha, ha, I don't have a Mastercard ... even if I did, I definitely WOULD NOT respond/reply to this.  Same as above, wish something could be done to stop this!

"Mastercard Alert !! Please call 310-362-7388 to re-activate it"  I have had two of these calls today and another one from a different number, same area code, late last month.   If they can't get us at home, they will get us on our cell phones.  And this is a work phone that I am not allowed to use for txting.

Yes, i got the same, "Mastercard Alert!! Please call 3103627388 to re-activate it." and I do not have a Master Card either. I was on the web last night searching vacation spots in Europe, and local hotels, wounder if that is where they got my mumber, as  I also got the text, right after, to go to www.gowmart.com for a 1000 voucher free, another scam.

I received an email that said Mastercard Alert call 3103627388 to reactivate your card.

Received a text / SMS message from "Unverified Sender: (9176355853) HSBC Notice.  Please call 310-362-7388".

Clue #1 - I don't have an HSBC account.
Clue #2 - Banks don't communicate with you in this fashion.
Clue #3 - Banks usually have an 800 or 888 number.
Clue #4 - Google found >400 hits for 310-362-7388 discussing it as a scam.
Clue #5 - Called 310-362-7388 - poor quality robot answering system with a bad Australian accent picked up and said my card was lost.
Clue #6 - Robot asked me for: card #, expiration #, pin # (LOL), last 4 digits of my SSN (-why didn't they just ask for ALL my SSN # - fools!)
Clue #7 - You can give the robot ALMOST any garbage numbers and it accepts them - but it does do some rudimentary checking on the card # - for example, 1111-1111-1111-1111 gets rejected.

It's sad that we are here technology wise.  But you have to admire the crooks stepping up the quality of their fraudulent schemes.

That said, law enforcement should track down the telco for this number and shut it down before more vulnerable people fall for this.

This is a fake, I tried to put a few fake numbers in but it did not work. Pretty lame but hopefully these losers do not get any suckers.

I received the text from Unverified sender: 917-383-3176 HSBC Notice- Please call 310-362-7388.@ 2:23pm today this is not the first time I recevied this type of text it is getting annoying.
