I'm on the do not call registry.  What's the benefit when I still get calls on my cell phone?

has called several times on different days and hung up... left no message.

Answered and said it needed to call them back regarding my credit card account.  Nothing was wrong but I was eligible for a lower interest rate....Never mentioned what kind of card I had though.

I also received this call on my cell phone, so now how did they get the number. it to is on the do not call list. I do not answer calls from numbers I do not know. so I did not answer and they did not leave a message. I look up every unknown number I get to see if it is legit or not. sounds like this one is not.

Is it really a scam??  I just got this call as well.

I just received a call.  Did not answer and no message was left.

Some telemarketer calling about lowering interest rates from credit cards.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Yes it is! They charge you for something you can do for yourself at astronomical rates. "Rachel" was busted big time over this scam.

It's just a tool. You have to report them, and law enforcement has to get enough complaints, before they can be prosecuted. And they can just change their DBA name and keep on doing it. White collar crime at this petty level is too expensive to prosecute. Just another benefit of giving corporations personhood.
So all you can do is hang up, or don't pick up at all.
