Just got my first call from this number, which did not leave a message. By the way, this is the 10th nuisance call I have gotten today from various numbers, and it's not yet 2:30. I sure wish there were a way to outlaw these fishing expeditions.

Same thing. They call, I answer, no one comes on. Dang it. I need to stop answering but you never know if it's something important.

I answered b/c I run a business thinking it was client. He said he was calling from 'Go Green'. I told him he had reached a business. He apologized and hung up.

We have to train clients that we cannot answer our phones. If it is important, they will leave a message. I had some clients that did not like me screening until I explained. The ones that do not understand were the most difficult, and we parted ways.

I am pretty sure if you answer, you are put on a sucker list. We simply cannot answer from numbers we do not recognize. Sorry but that is the way it is.

Unknown number, no identifier, no message, blocked. Already cancelled landline as 95% of calls received were calls like this. I have my cell on Do Not Disturb most of the time. When more legit customers start cancelling their accounts than robocallers can spend their days annoying each other. THAT is a pleasant thought.

Don't answer the phone if it doesn't show a contact.  If it's a legit call, they'll leave a msg

I suggest you just schedule an appointment for your house at an address across your street, between two addresses. Watch the workman arrive and when they call asking where you are, tell them you asked to be removed from their call list, but their third-party caller won't take the time, just moves to next call. So this is how you get their attention = waste their time/money/people.

I prefer to confront them eyeball-to-eyeball and get their business card as a record and they'll I know who they are then...
Tell them also, that they use unethical sales staff or companies, who use dishonorable methods...
Otherwise you will never know who hires these scum. Many of the calls benefit a few Israelis who pool the "lends" for home improvement jobs/bids and skim a high % of the first price quoted on work.

These national boiler rooms are large donators to local politicians, and operate with virtual impunity.
Isn't it time to enforce R.I.C.O. laws on these vermin?
