They called my cell and work claiming i owed them on a Cash Advance Payday loan back in Dec. 2010. I never received this loan so i called them and told them they hung up, I then called back to see how they obtained my info and they said why are you calling back and proceded to cuss me out. His so called name was Michael Johnson (he was forgein). They are big time SCAMMERS!!! Do Not Give them a dime, you probably do not owe them anything.

These folks are trying to scam people out of money, they wanted to know what phone# I was calling from, they asked me for a case#.........these people need to be stopped you can hear a lot of people in the back ground, so you have to know that they are scamming people like crazy.  They threatened me with "If you don't call back, some events that I might not like will unfold".  I Threatened to call the FTC and they said they didn't care and unhung up on me.   Scammer's Yeah big time.

I try to respond to as many of these posts on here as I can to spread the word, but I dont get them all so please help me and help spread the word on this website if you can, about these Indian scammers.  (just watch the homepage of 800notes.com and look for people asking questions about people who identify themselves in an anglican name ((john smith, Will Turner, a normal american sounding name)) yet sound vocally like their name should be Muqtada Al-Sadr or something similar).  These guys are Indian Scammers based in India.  They use VOIP or prepaid cellular to make it appear they are in America when they are really not.   Unfortunantly the BEST advice I can give you, though its not always feasible, to make this stop is to change your phone number.  Ive been thru this same thing and its the ONLY thing Ive been able to do that actually works.  Just wanted to let you guys know and wish you luck in dealing with these scammers!  By the way, these guys change their numbers all the time (a frill of using spoofing, VOIP or prepaid) so just because you get a different number DOES NOT mean its real.   Stay smart, my firends out in cyberspace..ONLY deal with someone willing to MAIL you!!!

I also just got a called from this so call attorney, the guy who called me had an indian accent and claimed his name was Jack Wilson, they claimed I was been sued my a company called "CASH ADVANCE" I told them I never heard of this company and asked how did they get my number and they put me on hold for an hour until I hung up. Then I said to myself this is a scam and did not waste my time in calling back. BEWARE this number and do not return there call whatsoever!

This must be a new number they are using because until today and yesterday this number was no where to be found be careful it will change and they will harrass you on another number do not buy into their wrong doings

they even told me that my social was going to be banned for six months and that i was going to have charges pressed against me......  i and then when i tried to explain they hung up on me too!!!!

I received the same call.  Whatever you do do not give them any information and tell any family members the same thing.  SCAM!!!

i recived a phone call this morning they so rude. i dont no what to tell them . i make over 80000 dollar a year and now am going to ask for cash lone r they serious . do not give them any info.

Dont give them any info, this group has been tracked to India, they are using throw away cell phones and scamming people out of money, they can not put anything on your credit nor can they take your money. Always tell them the line is being recorded and ask for their surety bond for the state you live in, if they do not have it then they can not collect in your state. These are keen things to know in the future.

I just received a call this morning and it showed up 0000 on my cell so I didn't answer it. They left a minute long message which sounded like it was dubbed from a sound board.The persons name was Jimmy Brown, He stated that if I don't return the phone call then further action will take place. Then at the very end of the message it stated "don't disregard this message. If you fail to return the call and your attorney fails to return the call, the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds against you and may god bless you." Called them back on a different unknown number and the line was busy for over 30min. Once I finally got through it would just ring and ring then finally a voice mail picked up stating that it "cannot receive any more new voice mails at this time" I decided to call back one more time and a gentleman by the name of Kevin Phillips answered. He asked my name and case number. I told him "I have no idea what you're talking about" He placed me on hold and after 30 sec I decided to hang up. I have never signed up for a payday loan nor have I ever needed one. I make more than enough money and have never needed this type of assistance. But I tried looking the number up on a reverse search, since I have access to the information through the company I work for and nothing came up besides it stating that it was a residential number.

a man called my work; how he got this number IDK i havent applied for a loan since 2008 with my previous work info he goes by the name "Joseph Daniels" stating this is a legal matter if i do not respond to message further actions will be taken havent called back. i know its a scam and after reading everyone elses messages it was confirmed. thanks guy for givin the heads up!! peace out take care.

They called me this morning from a Sacramento # (916) 395-0000 stating I had pending federal charges against me and to call Michael Johnson at (310) 405-6493 right away to discuss the charges. I was told that I have federal check fraud, money laundering and theft by deceit charges against me from Cash Advance.  Apparently the company emailed me twice in December and when I did not respond they filed charges.  PROBLEM? I don't know this company nor have I borrowed $ from anyone!!!  They insisted I pay them $1200 right away to have the charges dropped and avoid prosecution.  They said if I did not pay I would have the Sheriff show up at my place of employment within the day to serve me papers.  They also said my SS# would be blacklisted for 6 months and I would need to pay a lawyer fee of $2500.  Also received a similar call on my work phone from "Jack Smith" with similar demands from the # (484) 331-8324.  All of the men had accents so thick and English so horrible that I could barely understand them!

This number called my work two times.  I called them back when I got home.  They tried to get information from me I would not give it.  They told me I will be served by the sherrif's office for fraud, bad check writing.  What idiots

I just received a call from 310-405-6493 today. Telling me that it was very important to contact them and time was very short. Let me explain........my caller ID showed the number calling to be 0000. I then was notified I had a voice mail......(this is on my cell phone). I checked it and the person calling I couldn't understand. He left the number above, and even wished me good luck. I called the number and keep get a busy signal. When I know more I will post it.

I received the same voice mail at work from the 0000. telling me a serious matter and the minute I hear this message to call 310-405-6493.  If I don't he wished me good luck as the matter unfolds upon me.

Such a SCAM!!!

I just received a call today from a Indian woman on  3/2/2011 stating that I got a cash loan from a Cash advance company. They have all of my information including my bank. when I asked what this call was a about they gave me this 310-405-6493 number. When I called they asked me if I ever received a cash advance I asked them from what company and he would not give me that information. He then  read me a affidavit stating that I was being sued, but never inclosed how much im being sued for or when the money was transferred to my account. And when I asked where and when this money was supposed to have been sent to my account the Indian man yelled in my ear and told me that I was going to be served by the sheriffs at my job and then he hung up !  30 mins later after that phone i received a call from  the same woman asking me If i had spoken with the attorney I said yes and he hung up on me. I asked her the same information that I asked the indian guy and she hung up on me..  I'm gettin extremely pissed off with these foreigners and their scams.. The government really needs to do something about it.

These people are harassing me at work and trying to get money off of me saying I owe them on a cash advance I have already paid back

They called me twice.My attorney called them and were rude.said I was wanted for theft by taking.Yeah right! BIG TIME SCAMMERS.Beware if these people.

I got this call today from a man saying his name was Chris Williams (yea right) saying just there was an important matter & he could only wish me well if I didn't call back. I called back & got nothing but a full voicemail message. Where are they getting this information? I got a call last week from somewhere I did get a cash advance from and I spoke with them to handle it not these random people talking about a law suit. This is scary.

This number has been calling me for a week... It shows up as 00000. They finally decided to leave me a message. Most of it I could barely understand as this " Chris Williams" sounded like someone from a foreign land.... He basically told me in tge message to take this message very seriously... It was time sensitive... And at the end he wished me luck if I did not call back for whatever events unfold!!!! Lol!!! From all the posts I'm reading, this IS definetly a SCAM!! Do not call these idiots!
